Melusi Khumalo,Also known as Melz was born on the 3rd of July 1992 in Thembisa.He was raised in a small town in Mpumalanga called kwaggafontein.Melz loved music ever since he was still a kid,sitting next to the radio every chance he got.When he was in high school,he got introduced to Hip Hop and started writing songs of his own.He got inspired by Hip Hop Artists like Jay Z,Lil Wayne,Eminem,Papoose,Keith Murray and Bob Marley.In 2010 he got introduced to the production side of music,then he started composing his own instrumentals that were influenced by producers like Swizz beats,Scott Storch,Dr Dre and Dj Drama.

After High School in 2011,he moved to Joburg and decided to pursue his love for music and studied Music Production in st.Ignatious College.In 2013,he started working on his first mixtape ''Cool Kid Gone Cold" which got the young artist recognised.His mixtape earned a spot in the Shiz Niz Mixtape Competition 2013

He Is currently working on his second mixtape which is due to drop in 2014.
