Cette semaine, les Casts remettent les Venus à l’honneur avec un set electro signé Domi. On est à 128 BPM, le déhanchement est là tout près qui guette, entre deux notes breakées. On vous laisse planer et onduler avec ce set pour bien commencer l’été. 

Grande passionnée de musique électronique depuis une dizaine d’années, Domi s’immerge rapidement dans la club culture qu’elle affectionne au point de devenir activiste dans le milieu. Son but : défendre la place des femmes et des minorités tant sur le dancefloor que derrière les platines. En parallèle, elle commence à collectionner les vinyles. Elle décide alors de conjuguer sa passion pour la musique et son engagement militant en s’initiant au djing. Chaque gig devient alors pour elle l’occasion de partager avec son auditoire ses découvertes musicales qui vont de l’électro des années 90-200 à la techno en passant par la house et le breakbeat.

Following on from January’s well loved Soulful Culture Volume 1, a compilation which was universally praised on release, Tribe label boss Zepherin Saint is now ready to let loose Volume 2 of what is a truly fantastic series in the making. 

Soulful Culture is a unique concept which see’s Zepherin delve deep into the Tribe Records annals to pinpoint some of the finest Soulful electronic gems from across the labels storied history. On this album he has given them a well deserved new lease of life combining them with some of his most cherished tracks from his DJ sets across the years. These are tracks which have been both inspirational and essential in Zepeherin Saint sets, go to cuts which he has supported time and again as he has traversed some of the finest venues the world over. The whole compilation is an inspired combination of soulful diversity featuring tracks which come from vastly different times, places and experiences yet which intertwine perfectly.

Volume 2 takes the concept on at a pace. Indeed, it’s an album which is brimming with some of the most sublimely talented producers who have graced the scene over the last couple of decades.

Stepping up to the production plate are Larry Heard, Louie Vega, Patrice Scott, Kai Alice, Trinidadian Deep, Timmy Regisford, Alex Attias and Arnold Jarvis. They are revered names from across the last three decades of House music. On Soulful Culture the stand side by side with names who over the last few years have begun to carve their own niche including Nathan Adams, Jose Carretas, Mi Casa, The Lounge Lizards, Deep Soul Syndicate, Oral Deep, Filipe Narciso and Devoted. They are artists from all sides of the globe showing the endless depth of what is a welcoming and life affirming scene. 

From deep percussion fuelled house through hypnotic acid tinged masterpieces and onwards via divine broken beat and soul bearing vocals this is an album which is quite simply brimming with depth and warmth. Featuring fourteen euphoric tracks it’s an album where every cut perfectly compliments those around it.

Soulful Culture is the perfect album series for right now as the world needs that inspired spark of musical positivity and who better to deliver it than Zepherin Saint who has taken his many years of musical, production and DJ knowledge to create something truly special.

From various corners of the Latin American and European scenes, four artists join forces on an EP that transcends borders with a clear vision: to deliver music with soul, crafted for the club and built from authenticity. Que Ondas is not only the title of the lead track, but also the conceptual thread of a collaboration that emerged naturally—developed remotely over several months—and culminated in a cohesive and polished body of work. Throughout the process, the artists exchanged ideas, stems, and arrangements, blending styles and perspectives with mutual respect and seamless flow. The result is a release that breathes groove from its rhythmic core to its most nuanced layers—crafted with intent, taste, and pure dancefloor focus. The project brings together four names representing some of the most compelling voices in the expanding Ibero-American underground. Gianni Ruocco, a seasoned Colombian artist with over two decades of experience, provides direction and consistency, having released on Toolroom, elRow Music, and Rawthentic. Le Roi Carmona, Costa Rican by birth and musically shaped in southern Spain, stands out for his refined groove and melodic sensibility, with a discography that includes Hot Creations, Snatch!, and Stereo Productions. Heri Gomez, hailing from El Salvador, brings a fresh, direct, and percussive energy to the mix—backed by appearances in New York, Colombia, and Mexico, and releases on labels like Safe Music and Tropicland. Guti Legatto, a Spanish producer and sound engineer, contributes technical precision and structural balance, with a minimal yet functional approach, shaped by releases on Moan, Play Groove, and elRow. Together, their combined efforts form a diverse yet coherent palette—balancing energy with elegance, and technicality with feeling. This EP doesnt rely on formulas or follow passing trends. Instead, it proposes an honest experience—direct to both body and mind. The three tracks on Que Ondas are designed for DJs who understand groove as a universal language, and for listeners who appreciate the intent behind each rhythmic structure.
