Generik is a party boy, well that's the way it comes across anyway. But let me tell you, this guy works harder then you're average USB wielding, track selecting, party starter. Doing 5 gigs and spending over 24 hours in transit in one week is nothing out of the usual for him, and that's on top of commitments for Channel V as their 'dance music expert'.

We were thrilled to have Generik drop by the office one fine Thursday evening for a healthy dose of shit talking and carrying on. He threw down an epic mix for the team which kicked us in to party mode. If it weren't for the deadlines the next day it definitely would have escalated.

So I’ve been playing in Sydney clubs for the better part of ten years and in that time so much amazing talent has been born out of the scene in this city. World famous artists who began with Kings Cross residencies, Duo’s who met on the dancefloor, DJ’s who went home and wrote hit records after a night of inspiration in our once vibrant nightlife. I wanted to put together a mix paying tribute to these people. The duos’ that may never have met, the songs that may never have been made and the DJs who might have followed a different path if these laws had been in place ten years ago. It’s been so amazing to watch how the city has come together to rally against these laws in recent weeks. All to make a change, so that hopefully we don’t miss out on the next crop of outstanding club talent that this city may have to offer in the years to come. The music in this mix is all from artists raised in the culture of a once vibrant Sydney nightlife and for each track included there are a hundred more that could be added. I hope that you can listen and look back over the years, being thankful for some of the music and artists our city has produced. I hope that it inspires you, like they continue to inspire me.

Yours Truly have fast become a solid fixture on the club circuit with a driving passion for performing, a taste in good music and a strong music ethic that sees them forming the foundations of the Brisbane electronic dance scene. 2013 was gang busters for ‘Yours Truly’ as they dropped their first release ‘Nothings Changed’ on chart topper ‘Bombs Away’s label – ‘Bomb Squad’. The Lads kept the ball rolling with their debut EP out on ‘Phethouse Records’, which was followed up by a national tour and numerous appearances at the summer festivals. Full time residents at The Met Brisbane and standouts at major festivals including Future Music, Stereosonic and Creamfields for the last three years means a huge demand abroad with a handful of international gigs at Famous Phuket, Ark Bar Kohsamui and Sky Garden Bali. This translated to supports alongside world renowned performers like Diplo, Bingo Players,  Krewella, Nicky Romero, Dirty South, Rehab, UZ, Tommie Sunshine, WHAT SO NOT, Aston Shuffle, Havana Brown, Timmy Trumpet and EMBER to name a few.
