i’m betraying my art when i write with colours
without my notice the world restarted 

the clouds are running to clear up the sky from the darkness within us
like a black painting you splash it with colours so you can repaint it

while the laughter ends its theatrical play before we understand its meaning 
and the time fly by until we sleep, fainting

أنا ونور مؤخرًا كان إلنا كثير محادثات، لحالنا أو مع صحاب، عن كل موضوع الغضب، وقديش كثير مرات ما منعطي الغضب مساحة إنه يكون كشعور. ف منقمعُه، أو منكبتُه، أو منحاول نتعامل معه بطرق سطحية. إن كان بسبب انه هيك احنا منختار، أو لانه هيك مُتبّع. 
هذا التراك مش مع العنف، ومش مع التشجيع على الغضب، انما مع الاعتراف بالشعور بالغضب، اعطاؤه شرعية، والتعامل معه بشكل أعمق من مجرّد "عدّ للعشرة قبل ما تحكي". هذا التراك عبارة عن الأصوات الداخلية اللي بتكون في راسنا لمّا نعصّب. وكلنا منعصّب :)

06- Go sleep monsieur

During the 2006 war , some families escaped their houses and left their maids locked at home ! 
the poor girls ,  foreign workers would beg for food from the balconies. 

It  inspired me this song , it s a love song , i imagined myself helping a girl to escape and taking her far. 

Recorded in my house with my "wings" Sarah Barrage , Yasmine Ayyashi on voices and Beshir Saade on Bass clarinet.

Two years after “Monologue”, Berlin-based musician Yousef Kekhia is releasing his sophomore record “Polylog”, a fitting successor to his moving debut. While “Monologue” appeared as a hypnotic soliloquy, impressing listeners particularly because of its focus inwards, “Polylog” opens up to the world, inviting it in and making a diversity of perspectives, experiences and concepts of life visible through its polyphonic nature.

With “Polylog”, Yousef Kekhia releases a record that gives so much more than it promises: it is the mature work of a young artist, it fuses the poetic traditions of the Arabic language with contemporary electronic music. It brings the discussion about new forms of masculinity to the dancefloor, shares thoughts for the morning after, and creates a future we could all be grateful to experience.
