Having dismissed an influx of major label offers, Circus Recordings protects “Bigger Than Prince” from popular pollution to invite a range of electronic music’s brightest talents onboard; returning from its highly successful 2013 as a new ensemble of remixes.   

Undoubtably the biggest underground anthem of 2013, the spoken-vocal hit was supported by almost every dj and radio station globally and echod wth a number 1 on Beatport for 10 weeks. 

Influencially “Bigger Than Prince” was a key release that also promptly propelled its contributors, Green Velvet, Hot Since 82, The Martinez Brothers and Yousef’s Circus Recordings much wider onto the global sphere of profile.   

After asking Green Velvet to make the track for Circus Recordings as part of the Circus ‘X’ ten year project, entirely A&R’ing and releasing the original project, its fitting that Yousef steps up himself to open proceedings with his “circus rework”. Stripping it right back to phrases, tight yet heavy drums, an assassin like bass hook, and as always tastefully walking the tightrope between house and techno.

'The next release coming on Hicky & Kalo's label Plaisirs Sonores Records is from rising duo Wurtz & Iberian Muse. The two talented Italian & Russian producers delight us with a superb, memorable melodic cut in signature style. Their music has been played a lot recently by Tale Of Us and Fideles. They recently released music on Ritter Butzke Music and Running Clouds.

On the remix side, German Julian Wassermann recreates the melody with new sounds and smoother the remix into a cinematic story. The Munich based producer is currently one of the most respected within the melodic house and deep techno. As a resident DJ at Harry Klein, Munich and numerous appearances in clubs like Watergate, Beliin and festivals like Pleinvress, Amsterdam, Wasserman stayed in people's memories for his energetic sets. '

These efforts helped pave the way for Yousef’s Circus event to be asked to take on the colossal task to organise ‘The First Dance’, the world’s first sanctioned music test event since covid struck… The monumental event captured the attention of the entire world and its major media, with 7 billion online and news engagements, and is now cited as ‘one of the most significant moments in electronic music history”’.
