On this occasion the protagonists of giving a twist to the original songs are none other than CPTL PNSHMNT, MANIATICS, HEKRIM and for the first time releasing music in our family, THRILLER! . Four technically perfect remixes with colossal work from these artists! We start with the remix of the magnificent MANIATICS to the original track piece "Anubis", an original song made by CPTL PNSHMENT feat RADIOHAZZARD. Adapting to the times Maniatics presents us with a remix of the freshest, and solid, at the same time elegant, giving a 180 degree turn to the theme that this wonderful original track already carried. Strong basses accompanied by explosive synths, powerful rhythms and a totally successful dancefloor flow !. The Next remix is ​​starring by CPTL PNSHMENT, and this time they are the ones who turn the game around on the original Maniatics track, "Fewer Job". A titan Neurofunk track, with unstoppable energy and strength. Puerto Ricans guys express the original theme in an incredible way and making a version 2.0 Supreme!. With a return to their neurofunk roots, Essex based Druid Records returns with their 30th release and it is a special one. “Scout 22” heads up the EP with his original track “Cybernetic Synthetic”. A raw, dancefloor influenced track with relentless kicks and a pummelling wonky bassline with elements of sci-fi which is a key passion of the Artist that has featured on Program and Citrus Recordings.

On remix duties, they brought in Brazilian powerhouse producer “Dunk” formally part of the Jam Thieves. Fresh off his latest release on the mighty Dispatch LTD, Dunk truly showcases his sound that has caught the attention of many top labels in the scene and provided the artist with consistent releases all year long. The deep rolling track is a great take on the original and a perfect fit into Druids ever growing back catalogue.

Rounding off the EP, Druid have enlisted the neurofunk maestro “Barbarix”. The UK based producer has had releases on labels such as Renegade Hardware, C4C, Methlab and many more true innovative labels.
Bringing the funk back into Neurofunk, Barbarix drops a full throttle remix of the original letting the scene know he’s back in business and isn’t going anywhere. A heavy metallic snare punches through a groovy but gritty bassline and switching it into a bassline designed to cause absolute carnage.

With one more release left for the year, with a top vocalist, that is a bit different to the usual from the Essex imprint, this release is set to show Druid is back and setting their place back firmly within the scene we all love.

BASS FORWARD THE REVOLUTION CAST #7 – Bons 

For the first episode of this year, we are happy to welcome Novi Sad based DJ and producer „Bons“ (@bonsdnb). 

After discovering the realms of drum & bass through his older brother in 2005, his love for the harder sounds of this genre grew more and more and resulted in his first experiences as a DJ in 2011. Even if Bons's own productions are focused on uncompromising neurofunk, his sets contain a wide range of drum & bass styles. Regarding his own productions, he started to shape his distinct style of hard-hitting neurofunk in 2013 and combining samples from domestic movies or videogames with aggressive basslines. 

Since Bons's first release in 2017, he has placed his music on several well-known labels, including Close2Death Recordings, Hanzom Music and Boey Audio. Beside that, his tunes were supported by the likes of Abis, Jade, Mindscape and many more. 

For our seventh podcast episode, „Bons“ prepared a 60 minutes ride through the spheres of dark drum & bass, including several own tracks and unreleased material.
