SINGLE ‘DREAM ON’

Four-piece indie outfit Youth Mass, are following up their EP ‘Misanthropy’ with single ‘Dream On’, which is taken from their upcoming album (yet to be titled).  Their last single received much coveted stamps of approval from DJ’s such as Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio), Dan Hegarty (2fm), Paul McCloone (Today FM), Cathal Funge (Phantom FM) and was play listed with Swedish giants Gimme Indie.  The track  ‘Tony Don't You Worry’ appeared on the sound track of Christian Slater's 2012 motion picture, "Playback".

Highlights for the band include supporting The Naked and Famous in the Olympia Theatre and playing last year's Electric Picnic festival in between recording their debut album, with lead single "Dream On" to be released 28th February 2014 and the LP to follow in April.

3. Dream On

Youth Mass are a four piece indie outfit from Trim. They have previously released one EP 'Misanthropy' and one single 'Tony Don’t You Worry' to critical acclaim which received much coveted stamps of approval from influential DJ’s such as Steve Lamacq (BBC Radio), Dan Hegarty (2fm), Paul McCloone (Today FM), Cathal Funge (Phantom FM), John Barker (98FM) and found themselves playlisted with Swedish giants Gimme Indie. The band were also privileged to have their song, Tony Don't You Worry, appear on the sound track of Christian Slater's 2012 motion picture, "Playback".

After prestigious shows including supporting The Naked and Famous in the Olympia Theatre and playing last year's Electric Picnic festival, Youth Mass spent 2013 slaving away writing and recording their debut album.

With their studio work now complete and with an eagerness to share the sounds from their forthcoming debut album, 2014 began with the release of a brand new video for lead single 'Dream On' which was directed by renowned director, Bob Gallagher (see below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jQDRXGbso5k), an appearance on Una Mullally's popular TG4 show "Ceol ar an Imeall", followed by shows in The Roisin Dubh, The Spirit Store and Dublin's Mercantile. The band are also excited to announce that 'In Slow Motion', one of the songs from their debut album, is to be used as the feature song in soon to be released Irish horror movie, 'The Ecstasy of Isabel Mann', by award winning director Jason Figgis and will be accompanied by a new music video.

The band will be kicking off summer 2014 by playing Whelan's main room to launch the album on April 10th, with support on the night coming from the excellent Dublin trio, Other Creatures.

Youth Mass are Darren Mullarkey, Neil Nevins, Barry Mullarkey and Willy Gray, an indie pop four piece from Trim. 

2014 has been their most impressive year to date, starting with the release of their much anticipated debut album "Morning Run | Evening Sun", which was celebrated by a sold out release party in the main room in Whelan's Dublin. 

The years highlights so far include; 

- Given the prestigious honour of "album of the week" by 2FM.
- Album straight in at no 1 in iTunes Irish Rock Chart. 
- Reached no 7 in the iTunes Irish Album Charts. 
- Album gained hugely positive reviews across the board, including publications like The Sunday Times, The Irish Independent, and The Irish Daily Star, as well as many influential bloggers and on line music magazines. 
- TV debut on Ceol ar an Imeall, Una Mullally's TV show, playing two live tracks with an interview. 
- Appeared on many radio stations to play live segments, including 98FM and TXFM. 
- In June, single Dream On was used in 2 minute segment on RTE Television, featuring All Ireland Champions Dublin, on The Sunday Game. 
- June also saw Youth Mass signing with Dublin music label Pickled Onion Records. 
- Next single "Old Enough To Know Better" due for release on August 8th, with release party on the night in The Workman's Club, Dublin.

2013 was spent writing and recording the LP. Having just formed as a group at the end of 2011, 2012 still proved a more than successful first year in the industry for the boys.

Youth Mass are an original band, all from and based in Trim, County Meath.
Youth Mass pride themselves on their riffs, on their melodies, and on their ability to deliver a unique guitar based driven sound on their live shows.
