This Dj set was the second one of an epic night at the Beyond Dance 1st Anniversary this past October 31st in San José, Costa Rica. 

Beyond Dance is a community that has known how to be resilient throughout these times of planetary crisis. Our greatest strength is the joy and wholesome enjoyment of our community dances. 💃🕺

We are a Tribe awakening, awakening to the richness of our emotional world in full expression, we are freedom of movement and thought, we are beings capable of celebrating ourselves and celebrating others as they are. 🥳

We are recovering the essence and power of Dance as a path of liberation and healing. Our Gatherings are an infinite source of energy, love and strength! ❤️💪🏾☀️

Nantes Dj Set 2023

In this Dj set you will be able to hear the sound of my voice guiding the group of dancing hearts in an intentional dance ritual that began with sounds that transported us to the element of water and melodies that connected us with the feminine aspect of our souls. To then begin to take flight through uplifting African tunes that raised our spirits to confidently face the approaching chaos.

Once faced with chaos through an intense emotional release, we descended to our skin, to softness and sensuality to heal our wounds and rest in peace and tranquility through the harmonious sound of heavenly vocals.

A powerful night of the Full Moon in Scorpio, preceded by days that were filled with great emotional waves that announced an important transformation on a global level, a break, a closure to start over embracing a new version of ourselves.

That night we gathered to dance our internal chaos and navigate our emotions in connection with the water element and with full and absolute presence.

"Losing control without losing consciousness"

Chaos is a gateway to the absolute transformation of our Being. In the center of chaos, the complementary opposite principles of the universe dance together to give rise to a new creation. To navigate the chaos we must open ourselves to live from intuition, dance is the perfect way to face the internal chaos that we carry within.

En este Dj set podrás escuchar el sonido de mi voz utilizada para guiar al grupo de corazones danzantes en una danza intencional que inicio con sonidos que nos transportaron al elemento del agua y melodías que nos conectaron con el aspecto femenino de nuestra alma. Para luego comenzar a levantar vuelo a través de sonidos alegres africanos que nos elevaron el espíritu para enfrentar con confianza el caos que se aproximaba. 

Una vez enfrentado el caos descendimos a nuestra piel, a la suavidad y la sensualidad para ir sanando nuestras heridas y descansar en paz y tranquilidad a través del sonido armonioso de vocales celestiales.

"Intimacy is the doorway into the depth of your soul and it's the temple itself where the soul prays. To open the door of this temple we must be willing to feel all the feels, leaving behind the need to be right and the fear to be wrong. There is no such a thing as right or wrong when in intimacy. Just who you are as you are with your bared naked soul.

All of who you are is welcomed in intimacy, intimacy is the direct pathway into your innermost Divine Essence. 

The Divine is not about perfection or any type of self-image, is about rawness, it's about being real, is about everything together all at once at the same time, as one, is UNITY. 

The feminine and the masculine, the dark and the light, the day and the night dancing together as ONE! 

LOVE IS ALL THERE IS and vulnerability shows us this truth. When in intimacy we open ourselves vulnerably to experience the truth of who we are to realize that love is right there to meet us, is there to receive us in our truth. The deeper we go into our own pain, into our own sorrow and into all of those emotions that we avoid, the deeper we will go into LOVE. 

And because love is all there is, the deeper we go into it the deeper will be the understanding of reality and life around us. The deeper the love and the pain, the deeper will be the dimension from which we live our lifes through. 

THERE IS NO LOVE WITHOUT PAIN. Pain guide us into the deeper layers of what love means...making us realize that LOVE IS IN EVERYTHING. That there is nothing outside of love. Love is the beginning as it is the end, love is the middle journey as well. 

May we find intimacy in our lifes so that we can share and express the pain of our hearts and the love that has being revealed to us and be received with loving open arms in that self-expression. 

GOD IS LOVING AWARENESS."

An Ecstatic Dance Dj set preceded by an intentional, alchemical and psicomagical dragon ritual as an opening portal for the Dance at Uvita, Costa Rica. 

The Journey started with a listening meditation through the text above that I wrote out of a deep grief, pain and sadness that I was experiencing at that moment of my life. 

I then guided a shamanic group visualization with the power of the drum, inviting everyone to visualize the awakening of their inner dragon/dragonness from their lower abdomen into their crown and beyond into limitless space. 

The Dragon then shows up in the center of the circle to unfold and express the full spectrum of the human consciousness, from pain, sorrow and sadness, to joy, bliss and power. Through this expansive and vulnerable self expression in front of the community the Dragon invites everyone to do the same on the dancefloor.

This was truly a moving, emotive and memorable Ecstatic Dance.

Dreaming the Dream at Dreamersland!!! This cacao-infused festival in Poland was as special as it sounds. Shared a lineup with Porangui, Ape Chimba, Estas Tonne, Janax Pacha and many other magical-music-makers. This was the first of two Apukuna sessions… an evening silent disco with a delicious opening of Iyakuh & Helen Knight's ‘Mamacoca’ infused with Maywa and Kora and followed by the angelic root chakra frequencies of Skysia and Sommer Love's ‘We Are Light’. PURE medicine magic for this DREAM mix!

DJ Baraku - Sharing The Vibe 4th Anniversary Special Set FEB 2024

Voyager EP is a deep journey into the lucid, organic world of the avant-garde multi-instrumentalist/producer ‘Captures’. It is a collection of three tracks with three uniquely contrasting vibes yet a common thread of live percussion, uplifting melodic instruments and soulful groove. 2020 is set to be a big year for Captures as he is primed to release a large body of work over the coming months with Voyager EP being the first step of the journey. Having spent some time on the magical Lake Atitlán, this EP carries a special energy of Guatemala and is the perfect fit for the dreamy, hypnotic sound that is Resueño.

​Yozéf, founder of Beyond Dance, is one of the most important "space holders" emerging in the Central Valley and Pacific Coast region of Costa Rica.

He is a visionary committed to creating a safe, substance-free, and therapeutic space for the exploration of the inner self through music and movement.​

Yozéf is not only continually growing and evolving as a leader and DJ, carefully weaving together lush fusions of worlds for the subtle landscapes of the soul, but he is also a pioneer who captures the full spectrum of the rainbow in his field of work, bringing a dynamic, sumptuous and satisfying experience for the healing and rejuvenation of the individual.

He has been a consecutive Movement facilitator and Ecstatic Dance Dj at the biggest International Festival in Central America called Envision Festival and has collaborated with Temple Step Project and Angata both international music producers, as Tour Manager and co-host.

He has played in many Ecstatic Dance communities around Europe and Colombia such as:

París, Montpellier, Burdeos, Nantes, Rome, Napoli, Zagreb, Barcelona and also Bogota, Colombia 

​He is an Embodiment​ Mentor and Facilitator​ dedicated to supporting people in their journey to liberate themselves mentally and physically through the pleasure of their own and free self expression in 1:1 settings. 

As an artist he has developed a Theater Ritual Perform​ance through the archetype and character of the Dragon to open up Ecstatic Dance portals in a psico-magical and creative way that involves a cacao circle, an intro to movement and Dj set.
