Beyond Dance - Spirit Animal Danza\ Live Session

We really LEVELED UP, we felt it, we danced it, we ascended to another level with the high frequencies of the music as well as with the high vibration of our intentions. ✊🏾💥✊🏾

We opened up ourselves to the magic of love & improvisation and was present through the spontaneous participation of artists like @kako_jorge_andres and @edgaryogix with their devotional and musical magic and the assistance of many hearts ready to celebrate life in dancing! 🕺

And in this case especially the life of @yozef_luz, founder of @beyondancecr, who had a birthday and for more than 1 year has dedicated so much love and affection to this project that it promises to continue growing strong and firm in this next year 2022.

Inauguración De Sonido

This set was born for The Portal 22.2.2022 opened up by Kapi Kapi in Platanillo de Costa Rica. Beautiful energy was sprouting from the barefoot dancefloor to activate The Garden, a new venue welcoming the community of Diamante Valley.

The final design of this DJ SET was finished for the Heart of The Jungle Retreat at VerdeEnergía en Puriscal. A beautiful Ecstatic Dance & Embodiment Retreat which I will always remember with a blissful smile.

The Spirit of Mother Nature is always with us! May the Medicine of Dance make us remember this everytime!

A Dance journey throughout all the elements of the Universe. This Dj set was designed for the Momentom Collective Residency at Macaw Lodge in Costa Rica with the purpose to embody the energy and qualities of each element.

The elements are in direct co-relation with the "Poliedros Regulares" which are geometrical and symmetrical configurations of Nature in direct connection with the origins of CREATION, they are the representation of ideal beauty, source of inspiration for art and design. Recognized and explored since the neolithic times of humankind.⁠

When it comes to movement these poliedros become like a virtual reality that we can jump into and that invites us to explore a movement path, a way of perceiving and feeling the world around us and ourselves. ⁠

As we are made of each one of these elements, when we embrace each one of them through movement we are integrating the components of which we are made of, resulting in a more coherent, cohesive and integrated way to move in the world, we become that source of inspiration for art and design, that mirror to nature and that representation of “ideal beauty” in connection with the origins of CREATION.⁠

Cuando el alma se abre al perdón, el mundo deja de ser un lugar amenazante y se convierte en el jardín de juegos en el cual puede amar y ser amada, guiar y ser guiada y así confiar y entregarse al viaje de la vida como una aventura de auto-conocimiento y auto-exploración en la cual los opuestos pierden forma y sentido, unificándose en el corazón del alma como los extremos que se tocan formando el círculo cíclico de la vida. 

Este set fue diseñado para la LUNA LLENA en PISCIS el sábado 10 de septiembre en Finca Biamonte, Coronado. Una noche llena de magia, agua y seres mágicos inigualables que se reunieron para aullarle a la luna que es testigo de nuestros ciclos de evolución en esta tierra. 

Bass Music, Música Andina, Organic House, Afro, Balkan Beats hasta el chaos de un Psytrance, este set promete moverte de pies a cabeza para conectar con todas las dimensiones de tu ser.

Dragon Words:

"Intimacy is the doorway into the depth of your soul and it's the temple itself where the soul prays. To open the door of this temple we must be willing to feel all the feels, leaving behind the need to be right and the fear to be wrong. There is no such a thing as right or wrong when in intimacy. Just who you are as you are with your bared naked soul.

All of who you are is welcomed in intimacy, intimacy is the direct pathway into your innermost Divine Essence. 

The Divine is not about perfection or any type of self-image, is about rawness, it's about being real, is about everything together all at once at the same time, as one, is UNITY. 

The feminine and the masculine, the dark and the light, the day and the night dancing together as ONE! 

LOVE IS ALL THERE IS and vulnerability shows us this truth. When in intimacy we open ourselves vulnerably to experience the truth of who we are to realize that love is right there to meet us, is there to receive us in our truth. The deeper we go into our own pain, into our own sorrow and into all of those emotions that we avoid, the deeper we will go into LOVE. 

And because love is all there is, the deeper we go into it the deeper will be the understanding of reality and life around us. The deeper the love and the pain, the deeper will be the dimension from which we live our lifes through. 

THERE IS NO LOVE WITHOUT PAIN. Pain guide us into the deeper layers of what love means...making us realize that LOVE IS IN EVERYTHING. That there is nothing outside of love. Love is the beginning as it is the end, love is the middle journey as well. 

May we find intimacy in our lifes so that we can share and express the pain of our hearts and the love that has being revealed to us and be received with loving open arms in that self-expression. 

GOD IS LOVING AWARENESS."

An Ecstatic Dance Dj set preceded by an intentional, alchemical and psicomagical dragon ritual as an opening portal for the Dance at Uvita, Costa Rica. 

The Journey started with a listening meditation through the text above that I wrote out of a deep grief, pain and sadness that I was experiencing at that moment of my life. 

I then guided a shamanic group visualization with the power of the drum, inviting everyone to visualize the awakening of their inner dragon/dragonness from their lower abdomen into their crown and beyond into limitless space. 

The Dragon then shows up in the center of the circle to unfold and express the full spectrum of the human consciousness, from pain, sorrow and sadness, to joy, bliss and power. Through this expansive and vulnerable self expression in front of the community the Dragon invites everyone to do the same on the dancefloor.

This was truly a moving, emotive and memorable Ecstatic Dance.

was once a sword was once a shovel was once a glimmering deposit we knew to leave be to feed the trees to feed us.

Hate obliterates all of us, and our descendants. 
Force without wisdom is only destruction.
People taken or pushed off their lands survived through songs carrying codes carrying prayers that one day a future us would remember and reweave the tattered tapestry.

How do we unravel the stories that bind us and lies that define us?
How do we repair the bridges that wind us into the spiral of irrational eternity?
How do we renew the world?
We owe the future nothing less than our full commitment to interdependent freedom.

​Yozéf, founder of Beyond Dance, is one of the most important "space holders" emerging in the Central Valley and Pacific Coast region of Costa Rica.

He is a visionary committed to creating a safe, substance-free, and therapeutic space for the exploration of the inner self through music and movement.​

Yozéf is not only continually growing and evolving as a leader and DJ, carefully weaving together lush fusions of worlds for the subtle landscapes of the soul, but he is also a pioneer who captures the full spectrum of the rainbow in his field of work, bringing a dynamic, sumptuous and satisfying experience for the healing and rejuvenation of the individual.

He has been a consecutive Movement facilitator and Ecstatic Dance Dj at the biggest International Festival in Central America called Envision Festival and has collaborated with Temple Step Project and Angata both international music producers, as Tour Manager and co-host.

He has played in many Ecstatic Dance communities around Europe and Colombia such as:

París, Montpellier, Burdeos, Nantes, Rome, Napoli, Zagreb, Barcelona and also Bogota, Colombia 

​He is an Embodiment​ Mentor and Facilitator​ dedicated to supporting people in their journey to liberate themselves mentally and physically through the pleasure of their own and free self expression in 1:1 settings. 

As an artist he has developed a Theater Ritual Perform​ance through the archetype and character of the Dragon to open up Ecstatic Dance portals in a psico-magical and creative way that involves a cacao circle, an intro to movement and Dj set.
