Red Leaf

We were playing in the woods,
we used to go there every day.
This time it was hide and seek: 
I ran as damned fast as I could 

Got to the tunnel heading South,
a perfect place for me to hide,
the lights were low so I lay down,
I held my breath to make no sound.
 
No one would find me there
No one could find that narrow gap
 
It was so quiet, hey, but then I heard some steps like coming.
That was just the time to take a breath.
I was behind a cornered wall, I couldn't peek at all
but I could hear an old man praying for help
 
I got so scared
I closed my eyes

There was an old man dead
He just got killed in front of me

with some arrows on my back
