Nous y voila ! Le Volume 100 ! Il se devait d'être quelque peu à part et après réflexion, je me suis dis que faire un "best of" des titres dont je ne me lasse pas et qui me donnent toujours autant de plaisir ne serait pas une mauvaise idée...Le problème c'est que mes 99 sets représentent un total de près de 1600 morceaux. J'ai donc restreint la sélection au maximum et je suis arrivé à 257 titres ! J'ai mis les bouchées doubles pour réaliser les meilleurs mixages possibles, mais parfois ceux d'origine dans mes sets étaient réellement parfaits alors ceux la je les ai gardés. J'ai commencé à mixer ce Volume 100 en février 2018, chaque soir quand j'avais un peu de temps libre, 10 mois après il est pratiquement terminé et fera en tout plus de 15 heures ! J'ai donc du le découper en 8 parties de 2 heures environ que je publierais sur Soundcloud tous les 15 jours. Le set en entier ne sera sans doutes accepté par aucun site car trop long et volumineux on vera ça plus tard. Il sera en tous cas disponible en téléchargement (WeTransfert ?) dès le moment où les 8 parties auront étés publiées sur Soundcloud.

Je voudrais aussi profiter de ce volume 100 pour remercier avant tout, tous ceux qui créent, remixent, produisent et arrangent ces morceaux et qui pour certains font revivre des vinyls plus de 30-40 ans après leur sorties originales ! Merci aussi à tous ceux qui like et surtout commentent mes sets, c'est ce qui me fait le plus plaisir, en particulier sur les mixages car c'est la qu'est le réel travail. Pour les titres que je choisis, il faut féliciter/remercier leurs auteurs, pas moi ;) Merci encore à tous ceux qui me font des donations, sans oublier tous ceux qui repostent sur Soundcloud ou partagent sur Twitter et Facebook. Merci aussi à Native Instrument et leur programme Traktor sans qui la mise en pratique de l'imagination et de la créativité dans le mixage n'auraient pas été possible.

Grace à vous tous je suis le premier impressioné par les statistiques de mes sessions, près de 1.300.000+ plays sur les différentes plateformes, dont 850.000 sur Soundcloud et la majorité du reste sur YouTube. C'est aussi 34.000+ likes Soundcloud, 40.000+ téléchargements et plus de 16.000 commentaires....pas mal pour un DJ dans son petit appartement ;)

Je ne sais toujours pas à quoi je dois ce succès. Ce qui est sûr, c'est que j'ai toujours essayé de me distinguer par la qualité du mixage, évitant la facilité de mixer beats outro sur beats intro que l'ordinateur peux faire pour vous et qui n'apporte aucune créativité. Il faut aussi adapter le phrasing, la structure et éditer certains morceaux pour que le mix soit le plus parfait possible. Pour moi le but est qu'à chaque mixage, quand je me réécoute, je fasse Wouaw ! Ce n'est pas toujours le cas mais j'essaie toujours d'en être proche.. C'est pourquoi l'art du mix harmonique est bien plus intéressant et donne beaucoup plus de plaisir et d'émotions, aussi bien à le réaliser qu'à écouter le résultat. Il me faut parfois essayer jusqu'a plus de 50 tracks avant d'en trouver un qui puisse se mixer structure et harmonique avec le précédent... Certes cela demande du temps et l'oreille musicale mais en vaut à mon avis réellement la peine. Certains titres sont aussi édités/raccourcis car je supprime toutes les parties inutilement répétitives des morceaux. Le seul inconvénient d'un mixage de qualité c'est qu'au plus il sera réussi, au moins il sera remarqué ;)

DJ Master Said is always looking for perfection when it come to mix tracks flawlessly, avoiding "easy" beats on beats mixing and looking for melody, harmony and creativity in the mix which can take a lot of time for preparation/realization. You may notice that some of the tracks in the sets are edited to avoid unnecessary repetitive parts and some have an added beat to give it more energy...

DJ Master Saïd entered the world of DJing in 1978 with his then best friend, Marco Capitani, in the middle of the disco era...In the summer of 1983 he entered the Club Mediterannée, the French corporation of vacation resorts, as a teacher of computer programming/gaming (on Atari) and that's where he got the name "Master Saïd". Spending all his nights at the discotheque he soon switched his job to DJ and the name remained...
Till 1990 he performed around sunny and snowy Europe and Africa (Dakar) seven nights a week ! He then lived for 2 years in Marrakech, spinning records at The Byblos and The Diamant Noir...
It was then time to settle down and he then became a records shop manager back home in Brussels. 
He now mix at home with Traktor and his computer or on his two Denon SC5000 Prime for his own pleasure and the one to share it all around the world thanks to the web.

He now work in a Hi-Fi shop in Brussels
