Based in the Greek capital, Moderator has been making seducing instrumentals since 2012. His cinematic universe has conquered hundreds of thousands around the world who enjoy his varied and distinctive beatmaking style. He has a new EP In The Garden coming up, which ‘Cherry’ will be part of. Intergalactic Jazz fused with Hip-Hop. Think Nujabes and Pete Rock remix a Lonnie Liston Smith album arranged by David Axelrod. We realise that's far too much name-dropping for two sentences, but it describes the direct influences and vision of UK born producer Rob Waite aka Daylight Robbery. Rob grew up in London and Frankfurt before moving to Brooklyn, New York where ‘Moons of Jupiter’ – his first album for MPM – was recorded. "The sonic identity of the music is my homage to all the amazing Jazz fusion records that came out between ‘71 and ‘74, fused with a 90’s Hip-Hop vibe I struggle to get away from. With the help of some amazing musician friends, I was able to move beyond loop-based sampling techniques and take a step towards a more free flowing Jazz focused energy.” 

The album title ‘Moons of Jupiter’ refers to the 80 known moons of Jupiter that form a satellite system called the Jovian system. 12 of these moons are visited throughout the listening experience, starting in the light, and progressively moving into darkness. The artwork has been created by Cologne-based illustrator Giza One.

Radio Juicy presents the new single by Vooo. Wax represents a departure from Vooo’s previous catalog of work, venturing into a fusion of progressive modern harmony and purely vintage tones. The sense of sonic authenticity in this track stems from its use of real instruments including the unmistakable Fender Rhodes, hardware effect processing and a delicate instrumental arrangement which calls to mind records from the 70’s R&B era. For an instrumental track it manages to distinctly conjure imagery of late-night candle-lit decadence fueled by the wax grooves of a vinyl record.

CLUBJERSEY UNRELEASED 2015 features songs sent to me from 2015 and beyond. These were singles posed for release on CLUBJERSEY, which sat on hard drives whilst I tried to figure out the best release strategy for each song. As I see each song now, uploaded in private mode over 5 years ago, I realise the release doesn't matter as much as the action, upon which I act upon now.
