Techno

C’est à l’âge de 13 ans, que Kevin SCHERSCHEL tombe dans la musique grâce au groupe Front242 qui fait naître son intérêt pour la scène indus, ainsi que le groupe Skinny Puppy et son ingénieur du son, Kevin Key.
D’ailleurs à l'origine de son nom d’artiste. 

L'émergence de l'acide house ainsi que de la new beat ont éveillé en lui l'envie de communiquer par le biais de la musique.

C'est tout d’abord par le mix qu’il décide de s’engager dans cette voie. Parallèlement, il se bat pour imposer la musique électronique dans sa ville et sa région, il fait parti des Pionnniers Français des premières raves party du Sud de la France. 
En 1993, Kevin et ses amis ouvrent un bar techno en plein Nice où ont lieu des afters. 
C’est grâce à ce lieu qu’il fait de nombreuses rencontres, dont Daft Punk avec lesquels il aura l’occasion de collaborer (cf. discographie), avant même qu’ils ne soient connus de tous. 

Grâce à ses Set's, Kevin gagne en popularité ce qui l’amène à jouer auprès des plus grands DJ de la scène techno internationale. 
Il rencontre ainsi Eric Napora, fondateur du magazine Coda dans lequel Kevin est élu « Meilleur Espoir » par les lecteurs et devient résident des soirées ‘Storm’ au Rex Club (Paris). 

En 1999, il s’installe à Nîmes pour se consacrer à d'autres activités. Il ouvre d'une boutique de disques et passe à la production musicale, il prend le chemin de la création auprès de Nhar, avec lequel il fonde le duo 22 CREW.
 D’ou plusieurs maxi sortent sous le label Modélisme Records.

Et débute une collaboration avec Jennifer Cardini sur Dirt Crew. 
Après avoir exploré l'électro, il revient vers une techno minimale, aérienne et puissante, tant au niveau de ses sets que de ses productions.
Il sort  ensuite son album 22 :22 sous le label EDELWEISS et plusieurs remixes pour différents artistes. Il en enfin été la première partie de Paul Kalkbrenner lors de ses tournées Françaises et Italiennes.

A masterful innovator whose career in music has spanned two decades and numerous corners of the globe, Yuka is – above all – a storyteller, a creator of energies, a musical shaman whose vivid and visceral sets are capable of opening gateways to trancelike states.

DJing since 1999, she has in fact been deeply beholden to music in all its forms since she was a young child, when she first uncovered its unique ability to create and intensify emotional experiences, to express, and to effortlessly give rise to a mental and physical space of peace and tranquillity.

From her first DJ sets in Moscow, which came about almost by accident, she quickly rose. Her first release on Fullpanda in 2008 saw her become a resident of that label and later her music released on well known Silent Season, Semantica, Edit Select, Kabalion (Hypnus) and others. 

As prodigiously talented as a producer as she is behind the decks, Yuka has never strayed from her own artistic and personal path, in the process bringing us irresistibly along with her.
