“Spring ~ A Journey of Water ~”

This is a collaboration song with Alex Roe.(https://soundcloud.com/roetaka)
And it’s one of the song from the album “Seasons” that we made. 

“Seasons” has 4 tracks and we decided to make “Spring” and “Summer” like a relay. 
It was just like a jam session, each person wrote a short section about 1~2 minutes, then passed back them like a baton.

It was very fun for me and I really learned many things from his music.
Please enjoy the difference in our style.

この曲は作曲家Alex Roe氏とコラボして制作しました。
コラボアルバム「Seasons」の中の１曲です。

「Seasons」には４曲のトラックがあり、「春」、「夏」の楽曲は
各々が1〜２分の短いセクションを書き、それらをリレーの様に受け渡しながら制作していきました。

「春」は私が主導、「夏」はAlex氏が主導の元、制作しています。

楽曲リレーを行おうとAlex氏から提案を頂いた当初は、
今までひとりで１楽曲を完成させることが当たり前だった私にとって
とても難しいことに感じていました。

曲の接続の仕方も自由で、盛り上げたところで渡してみたり、
もっと聴きたい！という流れの中で次の番が回ってきたりと、
ジャズのアドリブまわしの様な創造的な体験でした。

彼の音楽から学ぶことは多く、とても楽しい経験となりました。
私たちの作風の違いを、ぜひ聴き分けながらお楽しみください。

Alex Roe and I made a collaboration album titled “Seasons”.
This is the song for Winter, and I tried to wrote this song emulate his musical style.

Alex Roe氏とのコラボアルバム「Seasons」の中の１曲です。
コラボということで、リレー楽曲以外の２曲「秋」と「冬」は、
お互いの音楽スタイルを取り入れて曲を書いてみることにしました。

Alex氏は多くのPianoを用いた心地よい曲を書いており、今回は
そこからインスピレーションを得て書き始めました。
普段自分では使わない、４拍子のゆったりとしたテンポ感の中で展開を考えるのも
楽しい時間でした。
サブタイトルはAlex氏がこの曲を聴いたインスピレーションから付けてもらいました。
