Trial and error (feat. Sonicwonder)

This is a recording I made of me playing Clair de Lune by Claude Debussy. Recorded on a Yamaha C3 Grand Piano, using a stereo mic setup of 2 Samson C02 mics (low-priced but the sound is great in my opinion), audio interface M-Audio Fasttrack Pro and Logic Pro.

Matryoshka is a two-member band from Tokyo, Japan, consisting of producer Sen and female vocalist Calu. During the time when they were playing in the band Parachute Coats, their material was released as a 7 inch vinyl by a fan in the Netherlands and was well-received in the club scene. A year after the band was formed, they received sponsorship offers from Yamaha and were digitally distributed on their download site. Their music is characterized by the fusion of post-rock and electronic ambience, beats and sound effects, contemporary classical piano pieces, minimalistic lyrics and Calu's lush and hazy vocals.

Matryoshka- Sink Into the Sin

Recorded back in January of 1989. It was the first time I played an instrument of this size in a room the size of Saint John the Divine. I quickly figured out you could not listen to yourself play, but had to focus on counting and listen with your mind. The tempo is a little slower then it should have been, there are some mistakes, but there is no editing. I was a bit terrified holding this piece together. Craig Cramer teaches his students well to know there music cold so curve balls do not phase you.
