I made this remix today 1/12/14 on virtual dj. my first actual remix ever! just a bit a of looping with trial and error mixing. Its dancier and I eliminated some of the guitar distortion. It was specially made for my new upcoming dark 80's club ;) took me approximately 4-5 hours in total woop woop! :D

My famous NIN remix from 8 years ago. Enjoy! I'm proud of this 11 minute masterpiece because it got a lot of radio and club play for years in US, Japan and Europe! Pretty awesome project to get to work on! All hardware based remixing too, back before software was the mainstay of producers. Added about 75% new material, guitars, performances, live drums, backings, effects, synths, and created a kind of new monster. I even added a bunch of orchestral arrangements for the bridge just generally had a lot of fun taking it into a new world in a time when this kind of production was still cutting edge (before software automated everything). A kind of self exploration and a show of respect for one of my inspirations.

This is a remix on a Nine Inch Nail song called "Me, I'm not" from the Year Zero album released in 2007. Please note that this is NOT a commercial Remix. The files were available on the Nine Inch Nails website and they were copyright free for fans who wanted to make their own interpretations of Trent Reznor's music. I chose to make a dub version of this song as it is my favorite on the album ..

The remix was made in February 2008 and uploaded to the Nine inch Nails remix page, which unfortunately is now closed.

I have used parts of Trent's vocals as well as synthesizers. I have added dub bass, drums, guitars, electronic elements and melodica.

First time I've ever attempted a remix like this. Did this all on iPad. Made the samples with BeatMaker2. I removed the drums completely and made my own. Completely rearranged the music.. Lyrics appear in the original order but timing has changed. Added Fx and compression.

I used Audiobus (open through the whole process), BeatMaker2 , FL Studio mobile, Molten, Ampkit and Remaster.
