UK electronic artist Yukka announces new single ‘First Light’ released via his own label Wold Recordings on 22nd March. The melancholic and dreamy ‘First Light’ is the first in a series of 3 singles Yukka will release this year. The ambient pop track features glitchy electronic rhythms together with lush arpeggiators and splashes of found sounds. The track patiently introduces new textures, evoking a sense of optimism and forward motion; bringing to mind the likes of Memory Tapes, Air France and Four Tet.

Yukka is the musical moniker of Ramsgate based electronic artist Jacob Mayfield, formerly of alt-pop duo Victoria & Jacob (Fika Recordings) and also one half of sibling electro-acoustic duo Field Glass (Happy Robots Records). Having recently upped sticks from East London to Ramsgate for a slower pace of life and connection with the area's thriving creative scene, the producer's music draws influence from the coastal landscape and morning sunrises.
