Trystero comprises Scottish/Luxembourgish producer Thomas Lea Clarke (aka MR TC) and Low Bat, otherwise known as one half of the formidable duo Jean-Luc. Their debut album, Sfumare e Vedere, was conceived over three days aboard Urban Boat, a 1960s barge transformed into an arts and performance space. Moored along the river just outside of Paris, the duo embarked on a joint residency, discovering their complementary creative energies and a mutual passion for all things strange and psychedelic.

As frontman, Low Bat is a fire-powered poet, his unparalleled stage presence resonating through Trystero's music. The French native and fluent German speaker has a natural flair for languages. For this project, he sings in a combination of Italian and English about love, loss, and class struggle, constructing surreal wordplay about pelicans and puttanesca. Meanwhile, Clarke's drone-lead electronic accompaniment takes its cues from sizzling acid, 1990s snap rhythms, post-punk, krautrock and shoegaze. Firmly rooted in these tripped-out genres, Trystero journeys to entirely new cosmic dimensions.

War, what is it good for? Dancing. That's it. Seriously. The rhythms of chaos, the clashing of forces, the rising of tensions, these are not merely the tropes of warfare, but the hallmarks of effective EDM. Goan via Scotland's Auntie Flo tackles the theme with a restrained fury, a potently tribal sonic ritual capable of inciting revolutionary dance moves. Add your own battle cries, this one is intense. It's one of the Highlife DJing, Huntleys & Palmers releasing producer's most aggressively charged tracks ever, and an exciting departure for a label mildly in danger of getting locked into the chill-out room.

The Goan yin to this Goan yang comes from label-honcho Von Party, who packs all of this raw aggro energy into his pipe and literally smokes it with his 'Peace Pipe Dub.' A paean to peaceful dance-floor tripping, where each dancer has the freedom to keep their head down, their heart up, and their feet stomping to the groove, subduing the enemy through internal vibing, rather than violence. The melodies are haunting, deep, and ravey, the whole thing laced with emotion, flirting with dissonance, and drenched in acid.

Michael Keane is the Bronx-born, New Jersey-based composer behind the Textbook Maneuver  and Distance Major aliases. A classically trained pianist with a punk DIY heart, Keane blends cerebral sound design with cinematic storytelling, drawing from a wide palette of influences that stretch from Genesis (Duke era), Rush, and Gary Numan to The Postal Service, U.N.K.L.E., and Phantogram. Under the Distance Major moniker, his releases balance the intellectually introspective feel of the best instrumental indie rock with the emotional resonance of ambient and prog-influenced electronica, offering soundscapes fit for film, television, and interactive media. His music thrives on improvisation and sonic experimentation, refusing easy classification while remaining deeply accessible. 

Distance Major shared: “The tracks on the debut LP were composed between November 2024 and August 2025.  I was trying to incorporate many aspects of synthesizer rock along with chill modern jazz.  I am trying to capture strong emotions and melodic flow even in the absence of lyrics.” Get on board now with this talented emerging new artist!

Out The Box - X.O. (Part Two)(S.W.I.S Remix)

The past few years have seen Albrecht La’Brooy steadily hone in their unique spin on dance music via releases on Analogue Attic, Night Tide, Voyage Records and Butter Sessions.  
 The duo kicked off 2018 with their debut album on Apollo/R&S ‘Tidal River’, perfectly setting the tone for the year to come. Here though we see Alex Albrecht deliver new solo material under his new Melquíades guise after inaugurating the project on Francis Harris & Anthony Collins aka Frank & Tony’s Scissor & Thread’ Records. 
 This solo output will see Alex look towards more dancefloor-oriented sounds, with all the material being recorded with a live, improvised feel. "The Bluff" looks to capture the often surreal and mysterious feeling of the Australian bush, taking sounds and inspiration from both imaginary and global locations. 
 ‘Hunted’ takes the lead on the package with atmospheric field recordings, jazz-tinged double bass licks and bright piano chords wandering around intricately programmed, shuffled percussion. ‘Roads Inland’ follows, tipping the focus over to airy sweeping synths, bubbling synth delays and bumpy organic drums. 
 Title track ‘The Bluff’ opens the flip side, bringing a more direct 4/4 approach rhythmically whilst stirring in soft piano flourishes, warm bell chimes and airy pads before ‘Taylors Road’ rounds out the EP on a beatless tip, bringing brooding bass, wandering piano licks and relaxing field recordings into focus.

Ever since the release of their debut EP ‘Absence’ in 2016, the trio has chosen for the experiment. Despite a successful debut release, a tour across more than 150 stages and an aftershow for Radiohead, they retreated in 2018 to work on their new nocturnal universe. Ever since they’ve been building on a new sound in their self-built Amsterdam-based studio. At the end of 2019 they finally return to the stages to present you their own little microkosmos in a thrilling live performance. Get hypnotized and float along over electronic waves.
