Eye Level is a musical project from songwriter and singer Aria SL and producer Daniel Ball. Written over a period of four years, their standalone double single ‘Eye Level’ is a sprawling collage of the defining music and experiences of Aria and Daniel’s lives, where viscerally powerful vocals and washes of choral polyphony contend with hyperreal indie guitars and dense strokes of electronic production. Almost abandoned for fear of lacking clear direction, label LOFS’ unwavering belief in the release sparked the realisation that the music’s naive ambition and uncertainty was intrinsic to its emotional pull: an honest reflection of two people discovering their artistry amid lofty self-expectations, projected self-perceptions and the complex feelings bound up in grief. Formative moments for the duo include early live performances at The Bath House and Peckham Audio for Niche and Specctra alongside their work scoring the soundtrack for Yenesai’s SS25 show at the Palais de Tokyo during Paris Fashion Week. Eye Level is set for release on 21st May 2025.
