Where the Jam Band version tells the outlaw story of a racer slipping past pit vipers, and the Sacred version turns it into a spiritual pilgrimage, the Psychedelic version makes the racer a streak of lightning through the universe.

In this track, the rattlesnake and copperhead dens at the base of Cedar Knob aren’t just stone piles — they become cosmic gateways. The pit vipers are keepers of universal knowledge, and the black racer is the fearless traveler who dares to pass through.
