The gatekeepers are promoting one singular beat, a death march into mediocrity. The sound of sameness broadcast a world over and over. The past worshiped as the present is snubbed in favor of retro fetishism. The sound of the future is relegated to be limited by the mythology of 'the scene'. 

While in the underground a fusion is happening. You are free in the subterranean to do as you please. Modernity requires evolution and evolving requires climbing out of the primordial ooze to stand upright. Stand on your feet to take the music back from the dead-eyed club scene.

Das ist kein Techno or This Isn't Techno is a middle finger to the purists, the elitists, the snobs, and the critics who want to recreate electronic music in their own banal image. It's taking sandpaper to the polish. High speed drums hammering a paranoid bass line. Hot scratching synths fresh off the mixing board eat away at modern techno's pop sensibility. Blasting the tracks down with brutal distortion. Noise and chaos gives way to an intense mood of despair before surging into apocalyptic riffs of machine guns blazing across steel rims. 

As synthetic as any future your imagination can conjure, 'This isn't techno' is the sound of the new tribe. An unapologetic rejection of what's come before. A refusal to blend in with the herd. A refusal to bang on the dry death drum of the club scene. A calculated risk in a doped up mob of docile pacifists coloring by numbers.

Raw, primitive, post punk electronica that doesn't wear enough leather or play enough power chords to be industrial and is too fast and gritty to be considered 'techno' by some. Epsilon Black is carving their name in the table and they don't care who catches them red handed. They have faith that something real and substantial can grow from the husk of the dead scene. They can feel this promise of transcendence pulsating through the rawness of their machines. The new tribe has faith their broken circuits will guide us. And we follow the same path that has led mankind since the first art of life manifested itself through stone walls. See the beauty in the brutality. Feel the comfort in the chaos.
