Mike Servito is a  NYC based DJ originally from Detroit. Mike was one of the first 5 followers of this account and he put together a blazin hour mix of 90’s & Contemporary Chicago, Detroit, & New York tracks. Jackin & Acid madness on this one.🤯

Mike came up in the 90’s Detroit Rave scene, and moved to NYC in the late 00’s and quickly became a resident at the Bunker(@thebunkerny), and continues to be a fixture at Detroit’s No Way Back (@ithqdetroit) parties.. To date Mike plays at all the fab clubs &  parties in nyc and is highly featured globally.  During the lockdown in NYC, he played marathon live streaming sets from his living room and turned out one of my favorite techno mixes of 2020(Community Bread).

Sometimes she’s giving house, the fiercest acid & techno sets, and sometimes 90’s R&B & Hip-Hop.. whatever it is it’s always ovahness!!

Rose Kourts is a Brooklyn-based DJ whose signature blend of curveball bangers, acid crunchers, hypnotic grooves, and uplifting selections have lit up dancefloors since she first burst onto the scene. She mixes from the heart with love and respect for the underground, playing dynamic sets with an infectious energy that encourages movement, connection, emotion, and release. Rose Kourts has quickly become a local mainstay in the New York club scene, holding multiple residencies, hosting events, and making triumphant guest appearances in booths all over the city.

About the Mix:
One of the elements I love most about your archive page and mix series is the wealth of live sets and footage from clubs and queer spaces. I was inspired by that to submit a mix that was recorded live in the club - this mix the first hour of a 3hr set I played at Good Room in the Bad Room for the first Carry Nation party of 2022 (last Saturday, 1/8!). Mostly 90s and early 2000s vinyl, that together with contemporary selections comprise an array of hypnotic house, hard house, acid, trance, ballroom and pop edits, and banging club. I love playing a mix of older and newer music - there’s so much out there to learn and explore. Definitely feels like that exploration and celebration of the hallmarks of dance music is totally in the spirit of There Is No Planet Earth too. It's a treat for me listening back and thinking about the dancers and the party and the energy in that space. These experiences are so precious.
