DÉLITEMENT pose une première question : "Que reste-t-il lorsque les systèmes s'effondrent, les cycles se désynchronisent et les paysages connus disparaissent ?”.

Afin d’y répondre, les artistes présent.e.s sur la compilation proposent dix récits musicaux comme réponses ou tentatives d'interprétations d'autres mondes possibles.

DÉLITEMENT veut illustrer l'expérience sonore d'une personne à la découverte de ces nouvelles réalités à l'œuvre. Iel y voit un monde qui s’affole, où s’entrechoquent des systèmes à bout de souffle, reliques brutalistes d’une société dépassée, un nihilisme festif et une digitalisation exacerbée. Inévitablement, la nature a repris ses droits sur ce monde morne, gluant et pesant, devenant à la fois le danger présent et l'imminence d'un futur à reconstruire.

Réelle aka Yannick Pozo Vento wrote & recorded this album. Their sheer talent & brilliance as well as the complexity and range of emotions within their music is still blowing us away. The loss of such a beautiful human being was heartbreaking. We are so very thankful to Yannick's mother, Trude Pozo-Vento, and Yannick's friends Rachel De La Torre and Nadav Kirsh who have been working with us to make sure Yannick's artistry will be heard, felt and will live on. Thank you to Tea D. Stražičić for editing the original artwork of Yannick complimentary. Thank you to Adam Matej for mastering this album complimentary. 

All proceeds of the album will go to Aktionsbündnis Seelische Gesundheit. After one year the donation will be made and the album will become available for free download (and is available for streaming on Soundcloud all the time).

"The Breath of Air" is the third release of katharsis, a new label focusing on emotionally charged music run by Copenhagen-based artist @jjjacob. This release is the third part of compilation trilogy featuring 30 different artists from all around the world. It follows the first compilation "The Flow of Water" released on May 21st and the second compilation "The Burn of Fire" released on June 11th.

The vibe of this compilation seems to fall between its two predecessors respectively tranquil and anxious moods. The ten artists of the record take you on a 40-minute contemplative journey of experimental and ambient music.

"Angels in the Sand is the second album from Berlin-based artist ava*. Told through swaths of ambience that reference ava*’s own childhood spent on the shoreline, Angels in the Sand poses the ocean as something metaphysical and elemental, the solid ground of the shore rooted in reality while the waves and endless abyss beneath them represent memories and the allure of nostalgia.

Floating in the depths of memories provides a sense of weightlessness, their currents blanketing and comforting but also overpowering and suffocating. Memories are all we have to cling onto, but they can’t be changed. The longer you spend underwater, the more you uncover, and the more it closes in on you. The ocean’s tides are cyclical, but unpredictable: you know you’ll return to its undulating patterns, but it’s unclear who you’ll be when you emerge. Its a sacrifice to go in, but you innocently fall into a belief that heremust lay the answer.

Angels in the Sand is a project about loss. It’s about spending too much time underwater, too much time in reflection, too much time in your childhood, where benign symbols like the beach or the gardenia tree planted outside of your bedroom window become tainted by trauma, their glow of purity tarnished as the picture becomes clearer and clearer. It’s teary eyes in the water, where childlike melodies still play on repeat, the echoes of your voice as a little girl barely audible through the crash of the water.

Angels in the sand is a deeply personal record written, recorded, and mixed by ava* during intense periods of self-isolation, with little to no influence or reference, the writing process itself a silent, lived-in wave of reflection."

Characterised by evocative vocals in contrast with slow, sober sounds, his musical output is slightly sardonic yet oozing with emotion.
