L’INECC Mission Voix Lorraine et la Mairie de Lorry-lès-Metz ont travaillé de concert, avec l’école élémentaire de la ville, autour d’un bien précieux et vital : l’Eau ! Série de chants enregistrés par les enfants, sur base de propositions musicales de Michèle Bernard. 

Le répertoire est tiré d’un album composé pour les enfants. Dans cette création, le thème dominant est celui de l’eau : eau bienfaitrice quand elle nourrit la terre (« Nuage mon ami »), quand elle évoque les traversées heureuses ou malheureuses (« Les enfants sur les bateaux »), les catastrophes (« Tsunami »), la poésie des jours (« Bâtons de pluie ») ou encore le pataugeage et les éclaboussures (« C’est quoi de l’eau »).

I Put A Spell On You

I finished writing this song at the two-year mark of the pandemic. 
During these years, our kids were affected by isolation, fear and anxiety. This is for them, for all of the parents, like me, who watched their children’s world get smaller and smaller as the days wore on. And of course, this is for my own kids who stayed home to protect me because of my own health issues. I can never repay them, wouldn't even know where to start, for I have seen first-hand just how deeply their time away from friends and their own lives has affected them. It came to me one day, all in a rush after a particularly heart-wrenching time with one of my girls. I'd have done anything, given anything to erase the pain that all of this has caused. I love them with my whole heart.
