Home To You

It's painful to say goodbye to someone you don't want to let go, but it's even more painful to ask someone to stay if they never wanted to in the first place.

Goodbyes are never easy. In fact they are very much painful and dreadful. No matter how much pain and dread they can endure in you, it is important to understand that sometimes, letting go is necessary. Sometimes in life, you come to a realization that saying goodbye, and parting ways is just a way to set them, and yourself, free, and I think that can be very beautiful. It may hurt, and you may find yourself missing that one person, but I promise you, time heals everything and you will realize how much beauty there can be from letting go.

I made this mix, using electronic and acoustic elements, hoping to bring that feeling to life. I hope listening to this can help you in some way, shape or form.

** Preface **

Helloo everyone! It’s definitely been awhile since I uploaded a mix, but I finally finished this next one! 😂

This will probably be the LAST MIX i’ll be making in a LONG time, so I pretty much went all out on this one! The mix will have feelsy & sad-ish vibe and will be composed of emotional tracks from Illenium, Nurko, Dabin & similar artists!

** What inspired the mix - musically **

This mix has actually been years in the making ever since I got into Electronic music! I fell in love with melodic music, because the lyrics always were relatable and emotional, and I just overall loved the way melodic EDM music sounds! 😂

I think that lyrics tell the artist’s story and what they’ve gone through, and making this mix is just a way for me to retell the story in my own way (from my own perspective). I always kept notes of tracks that I liked or songs that I resonated with ~ So I wanted to make a big piece (this mix) that could fully encapsulate my feelings, what I’ve been through and what I’ve been working on .

** What inspired the mix - personally **

I think that we can all agree that our past experiences shape us into who we are today, and I was able to reflect on my past experiences recently and how it shaped me while making this piece.

We all go through things - whether it’s childhood trauma, relationship trauma or other emotional traumas. Sure, it sucks to have “baggage”, but these experiences are what make us who we are. If anything, it’s important to talk about them or reflect upon these experiences to apply what we learned in the future.

Your lowest points are opportunities for you to grow and for you to explore yourself. You can’t control what’s been done to you or what happened in the past but you can definitely control your future actions and how you go about things (I know it’s cliché, but bear with me 😂)

So this mix titled “Letting Go” is about a story of me trying to let go of the people who did me wrong and to let go of my past self in order to fully embrace who I am today ~

** Closing thoughts **

Again, I’ve been wanting to make a mix like this for awhile, so I’m glad I finally got a chance to finish it! I hope you guys like it!

And to those who’s going through something right now (or whoever needs to hear this rn)~ always remind yourself that things will always work itself out! In the end, everything will be okay. You will be okay.
