Phil Mison is a London based DJ, composer and music producer who releases solo work under the name of Cantoma.

Influenced by listening to legendary chill out DJ Jose Padilla, Phil started his DJ career at London’s Milk Bar in 1991, playing chilled Balearic warm up sets. A chance meeting there with Jose would lead to a two year residency at Ibiza’s Cafe Del Mar, sound tracking
a thousand sunsets with his vast collection of sun kissed records. It was his sets there that led him to playat Full Circle, Bugged Out and to become Leftfield’s tour DJ.

His huge knowledge of the chill-out genre earned Mison a chance to put out his first compilation "Original Chill Out" in 1995. With its beatless, mood-friendly approach to mixing electronic music, it was something of a groundbreaking collection.
Since then he has gone onto release a further 15 compilations, including 5 volumes of the hugely popular "Real ibiza" series,"Soundcolors" and volume 6 of "Originals".

Phil also continues to DJ round the world from 39 hotel in Hawaii, "Green Sunset" in São Paulo, Music for Dancers in Los Angeles, Ku De Ta in Bali, Bestival and Aficionado to name but a few.

“Cantoma”, Phil’s debut album under the Cantoma moniker was released in 2003 followed by “Out of Town” in 2010 (Leng Recordings). So far, Cantoma’s songs has been used on over 150 compilations and featured on various film and tv projects worldwide. Phil also records with Pete Herbert as Frontera and Reverso 68.

Forriner are Lee Forster and Oli Warriner, better known by their individual projects Last Waltz and Traela who met through their contributions to the Newcastle music scene. Having successfully put out solo material on staples such as ESP Institute, Mule Musiq, Let’s Play House, Tusk Wax and Hhatri, their first releases for Futureboogie Recordings and Man Power’s Me Me Me have been well received including picking up airplay on BBC Radio 1. ‘Meet Me At Burgerellas’ sees the pair join Clandestino’s output whi have released Jose Manuel, Kolomensky, Coyote and Chris Coco picking up support from the likes of Andrew Weatherall, Axel Boman, Red Axes, Crazy P and many more.

‘Meet Me At Burgerellas’ kicks things off with fluttering chord progression, angelic leads and alleviating notes keeping the track infectious yet soothing. Cladenstino’s remix of ‘Meet Me At Burgerellas’ progresses into an organic percussive groove, softening melodic elements and gentle vocals in the distance while their ‘Sunrise Mix’ deploys tranquilising elements and calming textures balanced harmoniously with pulsating low-end and euphoric keys.

‘The Cat & Dog Stairs’ throws down punchy drums, playful modulations and blissful swirls of euphoria giving off an emotive and rapturous energy. Longhair are Swift and Marco Pelaic from the Wilde Renate family in Berlin with releases on Schallplatten and Bordello A Parigi. They round things off with a shimmering remix influenced by Italian dream house as the luscious bass notes flow gracefully with the heavenly synths throughout.

I like to explore music, all kinds of music, coming from all around the world. That is true, that during parties I play exclusively dance music, I try to bring joy to the guest and make them dance using modern and classic club sounds. I want to send the message that electronic music is not only parties, dancing and entertainment. 

For a long time I had this though about not-dance-oriented one hour long journey or journeys, with a palette full of creations from Japanese electronics to partly live 80s Polish and other nations' music, jazz, ambient and so on. 

Have a good one! It will be soft, for a few minutes maybe harsh, maybe a bit sad but this journey will make you smile too.
