Der sympathische Producer, DJ und Labelbetreiber mit dem Hang zu organischen Klängen im deepen Downtempogewand ist uns bereits vor einiger Zeit aufgefallen. Seine Mixe bestechen durch eine große Dichte an Atmosphäre, welche durch überwiegend cineastische Übergänge erzeugt wird. Quasi ein Sound der auch gut zu unserer Reihe passt. Ein wenig angepasst hat er diesen aber trotzdem. aber hört selber und findet den Unterschied.

After a slightly longer break in our podcast series, we welcome Xia Ke from Shanghai today. We noticed this likeable producer, DJ, and label owner with a penchant for organic sounds in deep downtempo guise some time ago. His mixes captivate with their dense atmosphere, which is created predominantly by cinematic transitions. It's a sound that fits well with our series. He has adapted it a little, though. But listen for yourself and see if you can spot the difference.

✘ What makes good "afterhour"?
Chill, moody, slightly danceable and meditateable. 

✘ Do you have any thoughts you would like to share about your set?
It's a set prepared for our upcoming label tour. I want to illustrate a more moody downtempo soundscape to the Chinese local audiences. There are also some great productions from my label Autumn Equinox.

Derun - Nea Moni (Lanka Remix) pitched down to 90 BPM!

✘ Maybe could you tell us how did you get into the music cooking pot?
I was always fascinated by the possibility of creating your own way of music, inspired by friends like Innellea or Yubik in 2013. Mixing sound is highly addictive and I love it!

With this Journey Series episode, Wilson.solidarity invites listeners to travel through the many shades of love — from loss to rediscovery — through the universal language of sound.

It celebrates a milestone in ecological awareness: thanks to visionary mycologists like Giuliana Furci, fungi are now officially recognized as a kingdom of life alongside flora and fauna.

Sharing the stage that night with the mind-blowing Cosmo Sheldrake, the enchanting Sanna Lu Una (the “Björk of Vienna”), and Knobs, one of my all-time favorite techno producers. What an unforgettable finale to a wild, inspiring week of mycelial magic.

Badawan (Tsunami) is a multidimensional being of many names and forms, also known as Jolie Roger and Looping Louie.
Badawan grew up in the jungle and drum and bass scene, playing gigs as Jolie Roger for Tsunami and WCC. Helping to establish the infamouse Lost In Nature festival. Meanwhile his musical focuse transformed and is now meandering between psychedelic influenced Downtempo, santeria-sattelschlepperstep, galloping dancefloor soundscapes and dark progressiv sonic adventures.

Badawan moves between deep, psychedelic textures, hypnotic grooves, and driving rhythms. With a storyteller’s sense for flow, he guides the crowd from shadowy, progressive passages into bright, kaleidoscopic moments. Rooted in underground culture, his sound blends raw energy with fine detail and atmospheric depth – a mix of instinct and precision that lingers long after the last beat.
