On the EP's penultimate track, ‘Close Fall’ squeezes darkside d’n’b sonics into a chugging 95 BPM beat template.

Pressure Dome label boss, Jen Hartley – better known as Yushh – is next to supply a flagship Crack Mix.

“I'm into so many different styles at the minute so it was hard deciding on the vibe I wanted to go for, so there are lots of energy shifts throughout the mix,” she tells us. “It's got some beautiful moments, some deep, moody moments and – of course – some wonky, weirdo high-energy bangers. I also wanted to take the opportunity to showcase some incredible new music from mates, some forthcoming Pressure Dome, and a new remix I've been working on, all of which I'm excited to share!”

3024: Please describe the mix in a single sentence ?

Yushh: A good level of nuts and emotions 

3024: What DJ inspires you at the moment / has inspired you throughout the years and why?

Yushh : Tom Boogizm has played some of my favourite sets over the past couple of years. Unexpected twists and turns but always huge vibes. I’m lucky in Bristol to be around people like Bruce and Batu who’ve always been inspiring to me as DJs - Love the way they carve out their sets in a unique and unpredictable way. I-sha is also a huge inspiration - her sets don’t even sound like dj sets more like a live - so considered and patient and incredible selections. 


3024: What are you working on / what have you got forthcoming?

Yushh : I’ve just finished up a few remixes which should be dropping pretty soon and hoping to finish up another EP and maybe even a mini album by the end of the year. Otherwise I'm looking forward to diving headfirst into festival season then heading to Asia and Auz later in the year for the first time which is crazy exciting.

DJ and producer Yushh transports us to her formative years with the latest Off-Kilter submission. 

Featuring a collection of reflective tracks from 2008-2012, this collage is an insight into her delicate and emotive sound palette - intricate drum workouts, blissed out dub grooves, dream like vocals and emotive melodies phase through bass driven frequencies. 

Here, she tells a tale of what came before, a story of memory and influence, timeless and honest; it’s quintessentially Yushh in the rawest of forms.

Yushh @ The Lot Radio 11-23-2025

Jen Hartley aka Yushh @yushh established herself as one of Bristol’s most exciting new faces on the scene. As a local selector, she has turned her attention to the groundswell of talent the city has to offer when it comes to the cross-section of bass music with her new label project, Pressure Dome @pressuredome.

On this inaugural VA release, she proposes us a beautiful selection of artists, tied together by syncopated rhythms and broken beats, where each producer brings their own style, tempo and atmosphere. The release provides a range and depth that reflects Bristol’s musical versatility, from newcomer Syz whose contribution follows highly praised releases on Only Ruins and Brotherhood Sound System, to some of the city’s newest party starters to rise through the ranks.

All five tracks ooze individuality, yet subtly tie together with influences and sounds of a city that naturally nurtures progressive experimentalism. Pressure Dome’s offering is a fine example of burgeoning collective, with like-minded producers set on an uncompromising approach to the broken beat.

We have the pleasure to share with you the track "Always, Always, Nevr On Time" from Yushh, showcasing intricate percussion and delicate melodies that roll with energy over subby baselines.

Brighton native via Bristol, Syz is an artist, DJ and co-founder of events conglomerate Method Lab. Having released on labels such as Pressure Dome and Only Ruins, Syz’s musical palette has dissected inspiration from all avenues of UK bass-driven dance music.

Drawing on a diverse range of touchpoints from across the spectrum of UK club music, his latest EP for Control Freak is no different, encompassing precision-engineered soundsystem techno, mutant 2-step and West Country bass.

Wrapping things up, Pressure Dome founder Yushh returns to Control Freak with her own flip of title track Bunzunkunzun, bringing down the BPM for a menacing rework that’s punctuated by her signature wonky rhythms.
