'Astralis' is an exercise of emotional expression characterised by a bouncy low-end groove of melodically arranged toms on a static and syncopated bassline that will certainly have you floating through its minimal groove mainly comprised of driving hats and a snappy rim-like percussion disguised as a clap, complemented by a sneaky and swingy reversed copy of itself. Lifted by a bed of beautiful pads, a deeply elating brassy synth for the main melodic riff, and an ethereal lead, in response to its call, interpolated by a gorgeous lingering-delayed stab which brings out the mystical flavour in this enamouring journey of astral nature.

'Tasting Clouds' is a club deep house cut built around a powerful kick, a fat driving bassline, reverberated claps and swingy hi-hat grooves. Eloquently unravelling so to tickle one's auditory senses as its deeply elating atmosphere gradually sets. 
Just like winter's sunrise mist, wondrous. It exudes mystery and a hint of darkness, yet reveals its warmth as the psyche begins to ascend further and further away. Perhaps the title is misleadingly understating for one ascends beyond said clouds, transcending to a realm of indescribable bliss.

A special release in commemoration of Deep Knowledge's 3rd anniversary! Space Raid is my alter ego and "Sensory Overload" is an ever so evolving melodic techno affair of endless euphoria and tension, boasting a mysterious essence as well as a hypnotic flair which, altogether, make up for an outer wordly journey of thought and contemplation.

Being alive is being subject to various natural and artificial stimuli. Communicating directly to our subconscious, many stimuli are inborn - for instance, a newborn which needs not to learn how to feed off its mother. Space Raid thrives in exploring the ability melodic composition has to possess the mind and vividly induce subliminal messages, through compelling subconscious triggers instigated by heightened brain activity, or as I like to call it Overstimulation!

It would be impossible to capture the complete spectrum of this artist's creative mind through the "YUSS" project alone, hence, the birth of "Space Raid" which is an alter ego rather than alternative alias. The reason for this is that neither are bound by genre, instead, both seek continuous evolution in sound and music.

The key difference, however, is that YUSS can be identified through nostalgic, deeper, more organic and upbeat tracks which evoke that good feeling and a smile on your face, whereas SP4C3R8D goes darker, hypnotic and cosmic, yet tremendously emotional and euphoric. SP4C3R8D was the challenge that took YUSS's productions to the next level of synthesis and modulation, so it certainly is the other half to YUSS and not a separate entity!
