This is the first CD in our Bhajan series; a small collection of Kirtans composed by our Vaisnava Saints rendered in very sweet and beautiful melodies. 
The Kirtaniyas offer this devotional CD at the lotus feet of their beloved Gurudeva - Srila Bhaktivedanta Narayana Maharaja and for the pleasure of all. 
Just one week after the divine departure of our Srila Gurudeva, this album was recorded in a very simple enviroment in Sri Vrindavan, India by The Kirtaniyas: Vijay Krsna das, Sarasvati dasi, Rasika dasi and engineered and mixed by Kishori Mohan Das. We are also very honored to feature Kishori Mohan Das and Sudevi dasi (vocals, mridanga, Karatalas) on the album, we look up to them as our older brother and sister

Kirtan is like a river. Which flows from its source, in the heart. Winding its way here and there, through the air, into the ears, through the mind, into the soul. And we drift, floating, on this kirtan, as it gushes forward, dancing splashing and bubbling across the rocks of the vast snow capped mountains. And then, smooth like glass, but swift, expansive, and deep, flowing across the plains. If we dive deep into this river of kirtan, it purifies. It calms and cleanses the mind. The waves on the surface are left far behind.

Traducción

1) Hay de mi, soy tan caído y bajo que ni siquiera una gota de
amor y afecto surge en mi corazón por Sri Guru y vaisnavas. ¿Cómo
entonces obtendré el servicio divino a los pies de Bhagavan?
2) Mi mente esta siempre ocupada en asuntos materiales, evi-
tando que pueda desarrollar amor por los vaisnavas.
3) Día y noche estoy atado por la bruja Maya, con un collar de
deseos materiales alrededor de mi cuello. Completamente ciego,
inútilmente sirvo a personas materialistas.
4) En mi condición caída y sin esperanza, veo que no hay ningún
otro remedio mas que la misericordia de los Vaisnavas.
5) Narottama das ora, «¡Oh Vaisnavas!, ustedes nunca ven las
faltas en otros, entonces por favor sálvenme de nuevo.»
