The buildup on this is just beautiful. Still my favourite Koshiro track as I had the original Sonic Game Gear.  However it should always be played as three verses.

Famicom pulse wave generation (even in base NA NES!) has much better pulse wave variety (square/pulse/sine/triangle/noise/sample) than a simple square-wave generator on the Master System or Game Gear.  Famicom is even better than NA NES with sound expansion chips or disk system addon channel.

Yknow, GG Sonic was one of the first bits of VGM / Chip I ever tried to record onto "normal" media ... and not just because the console had a headphone jack to plug a line cable into. Can quite happily leave the tunes playing with the game on pause and let them loop a few times, they just work. Great pieces of composition within a very tight set of limits on length, data size, available processing, and chip technology. Not that I knew anything of that at the time, it just sounded good ^_^

I never knew Yuzo Koshiro composed this!! Most underrated Sonic OST ever!

The last intermission track to be posted for the demo. I kind of got carried away with this and it ended up being longer than previous intermission tracks; I guess you could say I was... inspired? Aren't I a riot!

What is Sonic Chroma? Chroma is an HD 2D Sonic fan-game based entirely around trying to jam as many new, experimental, and creative elements into one Sonic game as we can while keeping it as fun as possible. New elements you may see in gameplay include ideas that may be normally considered "taboo" for Sonic games, ideas that you may have never even heard or thought of, or ideas that you may have already thought of and dreamed to see in a Sonic game one day whether it's official or fanmade.

The people behind this project (that's us!!!) are a team of earnest, mostly college-faring people from all over the world who decided to get together to create, just like how every other team has aimed for, what we feel is the most fantastic and from-the-heart Sonic experience as we can.

What sets Chroma apart from the rest is that our goal is to combine a whole buffet of fresh or otherwise unseen ideas with the classic Sonic formula to carefully craft and bring you an HD hybrid game. Why only let you play unique levels, give you new art to gawk at and new music to listen to, when we could also give you an entirely unseen gameplay experience on top of all that? It's the logical next step, and we're proud of working to see it realized.

(There is one note in this that I am so very unhappy with. It should be obvious. But the only fix is so wildly different as to make it sound worse than this? Oh well...)

Sonic Adventure - Windy Hill (remake)

I spent a part of today trying to port a bunch of SCC waveforms to Serum, after being mildly annoyed with how low-quality SanbikiSCC was (it's a soundfont, can't do much there). The drums are ripped from that, though, as I personally think they're pretty usable!

Special shoutouts to @harumi-makoto and @moviemovies1 for helping and supplying some waveforms (it's all a weird amalgamation of Konami, SanbikiSCC and GXSCC waveforms).

I might do an extended remix later down the road, as this is an extremely short song.
