"The EP begins with a spoken word track that essentially explains the whole point of the EP pretty succinctly. We're just feeding this beast, endlessly. How much will we give away to something that is figurative? Our whole lives revolve around this machine, and it needs our hype, and we drip feed it all day, every day. Someone grows rich from all our dissatisfaction, and we just become more self-centred, worried how our lives might look to a total stranger. It's crazy."

MISSING ME is the second single dropped from YVA's upcoming debut EP, HYPE MACHINE. A raw and deeply moving moment of stillness, YVA doesn't shy away from the difficult topic of her anxiety, utilising explosive introspection to explore the fear that plagues her.

Missing Me

HYPE MACHINE is the fourth and final single dropped from YVA's upcoming debut EP by the same name. It is a prayer, a satirical sacrifice to the new gods of social media.

YVA cites Radiohead, IRAH, Massive Attack and early Fever Ray as her main inspirations for HYPE MACHINE, drawing from her love of drama and soundtracks to form an EP that is unrelenting in its approach of truth and meaning in a life that's gone fully virtual.

Hype Machine

BOUND is the third single dropped from YVA's upcoming debut EP, HYPE MACHINE. An hypnotic, trip-hop inspired track that speaks to the strangeness of online connectivity and unease with the permanence of those relationships.
