Dimitra has been praised by the press for being  “a magical voice with its own coloring, a brilliant actress!”,  " a voice with a crystal soprano beam, with the lyricism of mourning and the drama of rebellion and with a remarkable coloratura agility”. Most recently, she made her debut as  'Lucia di Lammermoor', where critics have lauded her performance as an “impressive confirmation of her high art of singing” and have put her moving portrayal of Lucia alongside those of “the great divas - like Callas." (Martin Köhl - Art5drei). Despite her young age, Dimitra Kotidou has worked and studied with celebrated artists, such as Montserrat Caballé, Renata Scotto, Graham Vic, Franco Zeffirelli, and has already performed some of the most demanding roles of the coloratura repertoire like Queen of the Night, Konstanze and La Reine de Chemakha. In the next season (2023-24) Dimitra is looking forward to her house debut in Staatsoper Hannover as Queen of the Night, a beloved and most-performed role of hers, which has already brought her to many major european operatic stages.
