Some time ago I asked Donato to compile the “Rome” edition of the 200th podcast for electronique.it.

His response to this challenge is a techno mix that I can best describe as an intense, intimate and evocative portrait of the reality that is Rome. While drawing on a wide range of source material and inspiration from the past, he constructs a deeply personal mix that is directed towards the future. It is, in a word, epic!

For my return to Open Ground, I had the idea to record my full set and post it online. Nothing can really describe that club, the sound system, the room accoustics, the way everything has been designed just breathes passion and dedication. Just amazing crew and always a treat to come back there.
The vibe there was absolutely amazing, and I guess you really just have to experience it on the spot to really get what it's like. 

But yea, here's the 3h30 journey we've embarked on there this 8th May, and I hope you enjoy it !

Welcome to the 22th chapter of the Deep Consequences Podcast. A collaboration with Deep Electronics from The Netherlands and Truth or Consequences from Italy. Bringing you the best music from the underground. in this montly released podcast. This months set is mixed by ZBK

Biography :

ZBK lives by the ocean in Hossegor, South-West of France. Former member of Get The Curse and In Paradisum crews in Paris, he’s been DJing for almost 15 years. He loves to blend many different styles of music, from jazz to ambient, from soul and house music to minimal and effective techno, always searching for old-school gems and mind-fuck grooves. His main influences are Donato Dozzy and Peter Van Hoesen among many others, and Labyrinth festival in Japan.

He founded Spazio Tempo with two friends three years ago, to throw parties in Paris. They have a residency at the infamous Batofar, where they’ve invited Svreca, Neel, Dasha Rush, Acronym, Milton Bradley, Wata Igarashi, Evigt Mörker, Antigone, Marco Shuttle, Patrick Russell... and many more already planned in the future!

This mix was recorded in his home, using both vinyls & digital. Enjoy!

Solid Shape Mix 005 : ZBK

ZBK is one of the founders of the Parisian collective Spazio Tempo. Tireless digger of hypnotic grooves for fifteen years now, he is very influenced by Donato Dozzy, Peter Van Hoesen, and the Labyrinth Festival in Japan. He founded Spazio Tempo with two friends three years ago to set up techno nights in Paris. They had a residence at the Batofar until a few months ago, where they invited among others Svreca, Neel, Dasha Rush, Acronym, Milton Bradley, Wata Igarashi, Evigt Mörker, Antigone, Marco Shuttle ... with whom they shared the turntables. More recently, they started a new residence at the Rex Club inviting Luigi Tozzi and Volte-Face.
As a DJ he plays regularly on Concrete's Woodfloor and in his adopted area, South West France. 
Today he offers us an outstanding mix to start the new year.
