Formed in 2013, Empirikal are mixing new-wave with progressive and uplifting PsyTrance into their own unique and groundbreaking sound and style. With a blasting debut track, “Dark Angel”, released on TIP Records, followed by promising follow ups, this duo drew our Immediate attention. “Echo Babylon steps up for the biggest release of their career with a brand new single on Deersky’s Soundteller Records this week. Hailing from the UK, Kim Lagusz and Laurie Judd make up the Echo Babylon duo. First appearing in August of 2016 the partnership blossomed over the next year with releases on Capital Heaven, Massive Harmony and Plethora Muzik. Now making their much anticipated Soundteller debut Echo Babylon present their latest single ‘Half Man Half That’ alongside remixes from Ampish and Monojoke.

Known for their timeless take on progressive music Echo Babylon continues to follow that ethos here with a spacey yet highly emotive creation. It’s well sculpted groove chugs along at a wonderful pace, full of great swing and cadence before breaking down into a centrepiece of astral electronics and acid lines. A brief but hugely effective vocal motif breaks the silence setting up a classy drop and ultimately wicked finale. Have to admit I had not heard of Echo Babylon before but they are an act that should be on every progressive music fans radar.
The first interpretation is provided by Ampish who is fresh off a collaborative EP with Tone Depth on Tim Penner’s Slideway Music. The Egyptian artist beefs up the framework considerably for a tough, commanding feel. The spacey, scenic qualities of the original are not lost however as the mild acid lines and dulcet tones are well conveyed. Perfect for today’s modern progressive dance floor it’s energetic scope sounds tailor made for Hernan Cattaneo and Nick Warren so expect to be hearing this one a lot in the coming months.

The release concludes with Soundteller label artist Monojoke also providing a stellar rendition. The astral qualities and atmospheric storyboard of the original are ideal for him to work with and it’s turned out beautifully. The Polish artist’s effervescent design has become unmistakable as he presents the main themes in his own cosmic collage of rugged grooves and wispy effects. A brilliant remix to cap off another exciting release on Soundteller who continue to discover some of the progressive scenes freshest new talent.”

The EP comprises of two original tracks 'A Very Stable Genius’ and ‘Uma’ with John Monkman providing the remix of the lead track.Both tracks showcase the new sound of these two pioneering London-bred artists. When asked about the EP, Kincaid and Sinàl explained: "Both tracks on the 'A Very Stable Genius' EP started their lives as odd, misfit creations of percussive and textural sounds. From these we wanted to create something using minimal elements, that still managed to take people on a journey through the sounds we've used. We wanted uncertainty, unease, and tension to be inherent in each track, which we hope will be clear from listening to both 'A Very Stable Genius' and 'Una’."

Yeah But No from Berlin released their self-titled debut album in November, accompanied by a couple of singles and EPs. After touring on their own and as support for Sylvan Esso and Zoot Woman, another extensive tour segment is due to begin in the May 2018.

Merging electronic music with classic song structures into a smart and captivating listening enjoyment. That's Yeah But No's objective. The duo from Berlin is comprised of techno producer Douglas Greed and singer Fabian Kuss. The former made a name for himself in the techno scene and recently released an album together with Mooryc with their mutual project Eating Snow. 

The two get to know each other four years ago when Greed was looking for a singer for his tracks. Tasteful success label Freude am Tanzen releases his music during that time and he tours through Europe, plays in Mexico and Australia. In Fabian Kuss he finds the matching counterpart. Not only has he studied voice but also stood on stages all across the country and explored musical styles from jazz to funk and pop with his bands. 

Now Yeah But No announce the release of "Remixes I", one of two EPs containing contributions by friends made along the way, and artists Yeah But No became friends and fans of. Karmon (Diynamic), Daniel Brandt (Erased Tapes, Brandt Brauer Frick etc.), Marc Holstege (Stil vor Talent), Panthera Krause (Uncanny Valley, Riotvan, ORS etc.), and Mudaze (Beast Entertainment) promise a good round of tasteful listening pleasure.

Yeah But No are currently working on the tracks of their second album, which will be released in November 2018

Our favourite Canadian producer Simon Doty is back on Einmusika with a brand new EP. Filling the Blanks EP has Doty's signature sound written all over it. Heavy bass lines, strong kicks and epic soundscapes that make every track Simon creates unique. For the title track 'Fever' he collaborated together with one of our favorite electronic music vocalists - Haptic to create a dance floor filler. On 'Filling the Blanks' Simon worked together with the Egyptian Zein, a collab that never seems to disappoint. The last track on the EP, 'Continuum', seals the deal.
