Rising from the sun-soaked shores of Carvoeiro, Portugal, JIMZEE (AKA Zac Matthew Tildesley) embodies a level of passion and determination that sets him apart in the electronic music scene.

His journey began humbly at a friend’s house, where he first touched the decks, only to pause for a while before reigniting his fire in 2024 at Black & White in Carvoeiro… A moment that marked his return to the pulsing heart of house and tech house. Originally performing under another name, Zac was forced to rethink his artistic identity when he discovered it was already legally taken. Instead of seeing it as a setback, he embraced the opportunity for growth, birthing JIMZEE, a tribute to his late father, Jimmy, combined with his own initials, a name that now fuels his evolution as an artist.

With an insatiable curiosity and drive, JIMZEE draws from a deep well of influences, channeling the raw energy of Mochakk, the legendary Carl Cox, and the boundary-pushing Skrillex, before refining his sound into the crisp, rolling beats of tech house that define his vibrant creative output.

As anyone who’s seen him in action can attest, Zac pours his heart into every set, his love for music spilling out in an endearingly physical, infectious manner. His skills as a selector have landed him gigs at standout events like the Escapist Art Event and Virados a Sul, while his residencies at Benagil Beach Bar and Encci have cemented his presence in Portugal’s underground scene. His productions, though still in the works with private samples waiting to drop, promise to encapsulate his unique sonic identity… A blend of deep bass, hypnotic rhythms, and a touch of mischief.

JIMZEE’s achievements, though still growing, are already impressive: he’s drawn crowds of 400 to 500 at Black & White and beyond, with each performance building momentum and excitement for what’s to come. His music is on the horizon, and he’s buzzing with happiness for what he’s accomplished and the limitless potential ahead.
