I got the idea for this song a few months before Hadli, my little girl, was born but didn't know exactly where to start. I knew I wanted to write a song for her and dedicate her to God but it wasn't until she was born that it came together. I actually wrote this song in the Hospital right after she was born and sang it her dedication service. My inspiration was Hannah, the mother of the great prophet Samuel, who asked for a child and then gave him to God.

There's no way a person could ever understand all that God does for them the day He saves them! This song covers just a meager hand full of those things and I hope it serves as a reminder of the goodness of God!

The adulterous woman brought to Jesus to be stoned could very easily represent each and every one of us. We were ROTTEN but Jesus paid it all! This song relates what Jesus might have wrote in the sand that day to what He did on the cross for all of us! 

The Sands of Time

It seems that, so many times in life, we worry about outcomes and circumstances only to get to the end of a story and look back and see God's perfect plan. This song tells the stories of both mine and Allison's parents and what God had to do to bring my wife and I together. I think that if you look back over your story and all of God's miracles you, too, will find that God has ALWAYS been enough!

God blessed us with our first child, a little girl, back in 2009. I've realized since then the struggle, the war, that I am in to raise her up for God's glory! It's EASY to hand our children to this world but if we want to make any kind of difference in this world we MUST raise them for His glory! Even ministry work must not rob us of our children. God help us...
