After a heavy bank holiday weekend, this week was always going to be a tough gig. Thankfully, we’ve got the perfect pick me up to help us to get through the next few days and looking forward to the weekend; hooking up with British 'all-rounder' Ejeca to exclusively share a fresh cut from his uber impressive Litmus EP.

Out now via his own Exploris imprint, the three track salvo showcases the Belfast producer's much vaunted versatility in the studio with each number on the EP seemingly designed to deliver the goods at a different time of night. Acidic, minimal and melodic in equal measure, it's one of the most impressive packages to land in our inbox in quite some time which made picking out which track we'd like to premiere all the more difficult. Eventually we plumped for the stripped back stylings of Ascension, which has had us thawing out those boogying muscles for the past few days.

Cleverly constructed and certain to rank as some of the freshest techno currently on the market, The Litmus EP suggests that Ejeca and Exploris' respective purple patches shows no sign of abating anytime soon. Enjoy.

It’s a rare moment in the life of Robert Hood’s M-Plant label when he hands over to another producer, but no surprise that he should pick Mark Broom for the next release, seeing as he’s previously been entrusted to provide edits of Hood’s tracks for the label’s 20th Anniversary celebrations (MPM19) and is currently tearing up dancefloors with his unreleased dubplate mix of Floorplan’s ‘Never Grow Old’.

The original version of ‘Stunned’ was released on Mark Broom & Dave Hill’s renowned Pure Plastic label back in 1997. The “97 Mix” featured here started as a live mix of the track, which Mark has now tweaked for maximum dancefloor devastation.

It’s accompanied on the flip side by a brand new composition of equally outstanding quality. Broom is in fine form on ‘Decay’ with his tight production skills delivering the kind of tough, raw Techno that sits perfectly on M-Plant.

Italian born, Berlin based Giordano returns to Soma after the success of his first EP bringing his tough yet melancholic sound back to the label with the Heat Is Too Hot EP. 

Title track Heat Is Too Hot gets this moving quickly with huge, rumbling kick drums leading the charge before dischordant synths chill the atmosphere. Forename keeps things rough and ready with distorted percussive elements set again sweeping, panoramic atmospheres. Piangere closes out Giordano's latest release on a more melodic tip but still retains his standard tough drum workouts and soundscapes.

For the fifteenth Heat Rockers Records release, Ōtautahi (Christchurch) producer's Keanu Raves, and duo Toyota share big room, acid backed, Techno stompers. Building on the already robust original mixes, Tāmaki Makaurau producers Fray Mysterio and Amamelia provide their signature touches on the remixes. Fray pushes the acid on Keanu's 130 Waters to it's absolute growling limit, and Amamelia builds upon the percussive elements and space of Toyota's  Acid Haus Music.
