Title track to my upcoming full length feature dub-reggae Western film, Cazador del Oso.

01_Cazador del Oso Theme

Yrrah's theme. This track describes our protagonist, a Jamaican Buffalo Soldier sent to fight the Big Burn of 1910, who deserts into the Great Bear Wilderness Area after unintentionally foiling a local opium cartel's kidnapping of local whiskey bootlegger, Josephine Doody. This track accompanies his bushwhack out of the wilderness back to McCarthyVille, MT, a seedy railroad boomtown perched on the continental divide.

02_Dubba Rucky "Yrrah's Theme"

Hunting Bears describes our protagonist's arrival at a shady fire lookout occupied by dubious men. He encounters Josephine Doody, gagged and bound to a chair. They escape on horseback.

03_Hunting Bears

This is the only non-original track in the film. It describes our Protagonist's childhood memory dream-flashback to a happy time with his mother and sister.

04_Boy In The Dubble

Misanthropiques accompanies a montage reel of our protagonist being press-ganged into serving a deferred sentence with the US Army and the traumatic experience it was for him

05_Misanthropiques

Theme song of our protagonists' wife, and the beautiful love they shared.

06_Sweet Lady

Alcohol and ether make our protagonist drunk and hazy. He finds trouble after stumbling out of a medical tent after being treated for injuries sustained in a bear attack.

07_Alcohol & Ether

This track accompanies our protagonist as he bushwhacks for days through impenetrable tangle of the Great Bear Wilderness Area on his sojourn to escape the cartel hunting him.

08_Sun Ra Dwellers (Bushwhacking theme)

Antagonist's theme. This accompanies a montage of Oso's men exiting the saloon to hunt the WANTED rasta. A manhunt ensues.

09_Kill The Rooster "Oso's Theme"

After a dream flashback of a traumatic experience with our protagonist's wife whom he caught in bed with another man resulting in a brutal attack and murder, he awakens in a state of post-traumatic despair. This track accompanies his aimless wandering through the wilderness

10_Waltz 12

Cazador del Oso is an original film-in-the-making written and scored by Zachary Fawcett. He also performed and recorded guitar, bass (on all reggae tracks, Hunting Bears, and Kill the Rooster), trumpet, sitar, melodica, vocal tabla emulation, Rhodes, Hammond, Juno-106, vocals, and percussion. 

Guest musicians include: Eddie Ramirez (bass on Cazador del Oso title track, Alcohol & Ether, and Tres Amigas), Kathryn Radakovich, soprano vocals. Quindrey Davis (RIP) (drums on Cazador title track, Alcohol & Ether, Tres Amigas, and C+, and GIngerWulf). Juan Parris drums on all reggae tracks. Navin Chettri (drums on Misanthropiques, and Kill the Rooster), James Schmehl (drums on Hunting Bears), Mercy Maxson (bass on "C+" & GingerWulf). Cameron "Sparky" LaPlante (tenor sax, flute, effects). Recorded in 2016 with a some added overdubs in 2020 and 2023, at "The Compound 1848," "Thurston House," "Conrad Dean's," "Sparky's studio," in Spokane, WA; "Jimmie Denny's," Missoula, MT,  and Beargrass Studios in Whitefish, MT. 

Editing and pre-mixing and dubs done by Zac Fawcett, final mixing and additional dubs done by Jimmie Denny at Amplified Wax Recording Studio, Spokane, WA.
