A youthful entry into the world of dance music, Zach began attending Burning Man at age 16 and soon after made himself a cornerstone of the long standing day party and production house, Pink Mammoth. You can find him before or after a gig checking out local vegan fare while kicking it in Chuck Taylors, an organic cotton tee and a big smile.

Amidst a wild dust storm at Burning Man on Friday night, we took refuge in an oasis of hospitality, elegance, and luxury;  the grand hotel known as Ashram Galactica for an evening of tasty drinks and sultry celebration. I played music from my entire library having no set list prepared and choosing from both new and old tracks. This is the magic that unfolded. I hope you enjoy the journey and if you were not present, I hope you wonder into this mystical ashram at some time in the future.

Zach Walker - Ashram Galactica - Burning Man 2022

Celebrating 19 years of Pink Mammoth on Saturday was completely surreal and to think this year will be our 20th as a camp at Burning Man is mind blowing 🤯 — what a beautiful journey. The night was made extra special by having some of the original PM family, that is spread across the country, physically there with us in San Francisco. 

And to add the cherry on top 🍒, Tara Brooks being back on the decks with us was a treat in and of itself. Truly a magnificent family reunion in every sense and I am excited to continue the festivities in New York with Tim Green and Alice Iguchi on Mar 18. Until then... I give you this mix and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed playing it.

Pink Mammoth 19 Year Anniversary - San Francisco 2023

📍Recorded at Selva Armonia for Envision Festival in December, 2022

🌴 About the mix: This mix was recorded during sunrise in the jungle at Selva Armonia as the mellow luminescence of the morning permeated the panoramic view of the Uvita coastline. It brings in organic, afro, and many other deep emotive melodies and sounds, often layering live strings and exotic instruments over the top. I hope that it inspires joy and excitement during our collective journey to Envision Festival 2023.

Zach Walker | 2023 | Exclusive Mix for Envision Festival

It brought me sheer joy to return to Lightning In A Bottle,  playing music on two of its most legendary stages: The Junkyard (formerly known as The Favela Bar) and The Woogie. Throughout more than a decade, I've been fortunate enough to witness LIB's incredible evolution into the spectacle it is today, both as a devoted attendee and a passionate performer. This journey has played an influential role on my music, my life, and my community and I am profoundly grateful for it.

Thank you all for co-creating with me and I look forward to the next time we get to dance together. For the time being, I hope you enjoy this sonic journey we shared Thursday night at The Junkyard Stage.

The view of the open playa, art cars gliding past, and mini dust tornadoes swirling around created a unparalleled backdrop to open that Wednesday for the Distrikt x Robot Heart link up — elegantly highlighting our vibrant Burning Man community.
