It all started with a bootleg of Leave The World Behind I made for this summer that took a life of its own. After playing it out I really wanted to make it into a cover and release it. I could think of no one else to crush this harder than Kaleena, and she did. The original is a favorite of mine and I’m honored to have covered it.

Dance duo KOLIDESCOPES release their second single of 2019 on newly launched label Humble Angel Dance. Focus is unashamedly uplifting: a pop-leaning house cut that simply screams summer. 

KOLIDESCOPES are Australia’s Johnny Castro and the UK’s Dan Dare. Released last year, their single ‘All My Love’ proved an international hit, sitting pretty in the top 10 Upfront Club Charts, peaking at #6. 

Following the release of Want It earlier this year – a melodic, intricately textured, synth-led anthem – they’re following it up in exemplary style with Focus, a joyous, pop-leaning house cut complete with powerful vocals and euphoric chords that simply scream summer.  

Before forming KOLIDESCOPES with Dan, Johnny was one half of electro pop duo Parachute Youth whose platinum-selling ‘Can’t Get Better Than This’ reached the  #1 spot in nine countries worldwide. 

Dan’s entry into the industry was as a member of grime’s Gritty Committee before adopting the SLANG moniker under which he produced ‘Bright Lights’, a collab between Wiley, Giggs and Juelz Santana. More recently under the name Dan Dare, he’s produced hits for the likes of Charli XCX, Marina & The Diamonds and WSTRN.

As KOLIDESCOPES, they’ve already made a name for themselves with their deeply hazy house anthems, characterized by supple, chugging basslines, evocative vocals and sparsely beautiful synthlines. 

Focus is the second in a series of singles from KOLIDESCOPES, with further releases planned throughout 2019.

Following a Grammy nomination for his remix of Charlie Puth ‘How Long’ and with subsequent remixes for the likes of Sam Feldt, Camilla Cabello, Chromeo and Janelle Monae racking up hundreds of millions of streams on Spotify, EDX now returns to the fray with his Dubai Skyline Remix of Loud Luxury and Bryce Vine’s 2019 hit record ‘I’m Not Alright’.

Out now via Armada Music, this remix is yet another jewel in the crown of an already stellar discography from Switzerland’s most streamed electronic music artist. Adding his signature EDX twist and unique production values to Bryce Vine’s inimitable top-line, the result is a bone fide pop-hit now primed for international dance floors.
