March the 4th meet Brazilian artist and producer to deliver his two vocal-techno stompers to IAMT!

"The creation of "Wait for me" was similar to the second track, but first I looked for a vocal that actually said something (not explicit and in english). The intention was to make a song that had a contrast between a strong beat, striking timbres and a vocal that said something a little melancholy. This song was also made in a flow of excellent creativity.

The music "Rebelling" was constructed from the vocals. I looked for a vocal in which I could use it only layer for the song, without exactly speaking something and the voice ended up becoming the hook of the song. The voice simply got me into a great creative flow, the edgy synths and the strong beat combined perfectly with the voice."

Did this mix because Billy Kenny will be in the country again and he will be performing at Truth on 20 March 2018. I have been listening to his music for about 5-6 years now and as his style changed so did my music style change. (I used to love UK Jackin House) and now I am very into Bass house. THIS GUY IS A LEGEND AND IS EXTREMELY TALENTED, ONE OF MY FAVORITE PRODUCERS FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS ALREADY AND WILL PROBABLY ALWAYS BE ONE MY FAVORITES. 

I have missed Billy Kenny every time he came here but this time I will definitely be going!!!

Carl Cox is an industry figurehead whos legacy in music includes his iconic label Intec, which he runs with friend and business partner Jon Rundell.

This new Intec release is from Many Reasons, which is the techno alias of Italian duo Angelo Manicone and Michele Colombo, who had previously been known under the names of MiniCoolBoyz.

Under their various aliases they have featured music on a huge range of labels including Phobiq, Break New Soil, Minus, 100%% Pure, Terminal M, Octopus Black, and their own Amazing Records.

Since their first release in 2008, the pair have been one of Italys most prominent techno acts, and have played all over the world including clubs like Watergate in Berlin, plus festivals like Balaton Sound in Hungary.

Many Reasons last release on Intec in September 2017 picked up support from the likes of Ambivalent, Alan Fitzpatrick, Wehbba plus Lee Van Dowski, and their much anticipated follow up brings stylish techno with a delicate sound design.

First up is Obsessed and its namesake vocals, which sits over the stripped back groove consisting of mechanical hi-hats and rippling synths. The track has a very intimate vibe with whispered textures, but its full bodied sound more than fills the speakers, and its pounding bottom end is a certified party starter.

The second track Rawphoria lifts it up a gear with a booming kick drum leading the slow building tension of the hypnotic background textures. The euphoric lead synth takes centre stage making this an understated and intricate cut of dancefloor focused techno with uplifting elements that complement its otherwise dark atmosphere.

Fuelled by the extra time and space to be creative during lockdown, Drumcode's collective of artists have stepped up. Across 17 contributions, the producers have gone deeper into their sonic repertoire, crafting powerful, yet reflective works that capture the range of the label's sound.

There's even a special appearance by the chief Adam Beyer, who makes a welcome return with the progressive-tinged 'Changes', driven by organic tones and spacey atmospherics. The track stands as his first original contribution to A-Sides since 2017.
