Parlophone’s burgeoning dance imprint, FFRR, have confirmed their stance as one of the most exciting dance labels right with the latest single from Just Kiddin. Following the hugely successful FFRR release of Oliver Helden’s ‘Gecko’, Just Kiddin’s ‘Thinking About It’ sees a team up with influential dance channel Eton Messy. The track has so far clocked up an impressive 500,000 plays across Youtube and SoundCloud and been supported by Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Blonde, Bondax, Clean Bandit, Gorgon City, Hot Natured, Todd Edwards and Moon Boots since the track was secretly premiered as the opening track on The Magician’s ‘Magic Tape 41’. ‘Thinking About It’ is set for release on the 2nd November with remixes from Bearcubs and more to be announced.

After spending the first part of 2014 locked away in the studio, ‘Thinking About It’ is the first in a series of releases that expertly illustrate Just Kiddin’s honed-to-perfection production techniques - techniques that have come a long way since being introduced by XLR8R back in 2013 via their Intimacy EP on Nurvous Records. Since then, Just Kiddin have gone on to release on labels such as Black Butter and HK Records and their remix of Claptone’s smash ‘No Eyes’ was selected in Mixmag’s ‘Top 10 Exclusive Downloads of 2013’ and garnered a cool four million views on YouTube.

‘Thinking About It’ will be Eton Messy Records follow up release to Clean Bandit member Jack’s impressive side project Ribs. Having being long-term supporters of Just Kiddin, this second release firmly places Just Kiddin within the Eton Messy family and the act will be a prominent feature on all nine dates of the forthcoming UK tour.

Hailing from Brighton & Hove, UK, Zac Samuel has established himself as a dynamic Producer, Remixer, and DJ since 2013, with a career evolution that mirrors the ever-changing landscape of electronic music. Drawing inspiration from the UK House movement of the early 2010s and deeply influenced by the sounds of Duke Dumont, Gorgon City, and MK, Zac embarked on his musical journey.

In the initial phase of his career, Zac honed his production skills, sharing bootleg remixes on platforms like Soundcloud. His talent caught the attention of industry ears, leading to a record deal with PMR/Polydor-Universal Records in 2014. Over the following years, he unleashed a series of original tracks, including 'I'll Be Pushin' On,' 'Set Out Your Loving,' 'Never Letting Go,' and the 'Takes A Little Time E.P.'

Zac's prowess as a UK House remixer became widely recognised as he collaborated with a diverse range of artists, including Karen Harding, Years & Years, Rita Ora, Demi Lovato, Hannah Wants, Zara Larsson, Sigma, Jonas Blue, Jess Glynne, RAYE, Mabel, Jason Derulo, Mae Muller, Toni Braxton, Liam Payne, Kyla, NEIKED, and many others.

His DJ journey took him across the UK and Europe, playing intimate sets in Dalston to commanding main stages at festivals like Bestival and Reading & Leeds. Zac shared stages with electronic music heavyweights such as Annie Mac, Pete Tong, Duke Dumont, and Gorgon City, gracing iconic venues and clubs in Ibiza.

After a hiatus and a brief retreat from remix duties, 2022/23 marked Zac's return to the forefront, with a renewed focus on releasing his original music. His tracks found homes on well-respected dance labels like Selected, LoveJuice, New State, Armada, Perfect Havoc, and Never Worry Records (Snakehips). Collaborations with Jem Cooke, Carrie Baxter, and Karen Harding showcased the depth of his musical prowess.

In the current landscape of 2024, Zac Samuel continues his musical journey, releasing captivating tracks on his own digital imprint via AWAL and a range of independant dance labels. As he explores new sonic territories, his impact on the electronic music scene remain as vibrant as ever.
