Zságer’s latest EP 'Sacral Design' is about an allegory for the ongoing battle between light and darkness, technology and spirituality. Drawing inspiration from the notion that AI has the potential to personalize spiritual experiences and even create its own mythology or religion, this can be exciting and also dangerous possibility in the future. The soundscape of Sacral Design is intense and gritty, opening with a haunting drone that sets a dark tone before transporting the listener into a chaotic realm of entropy. From there, Zságer provides a contrast—a sacred space where the particles of the universe suggest a cosmic order, a glimpse of perfection. The final track, “Holy Algorythm,” offers a moment of tranquility, leaving us with a sense of hope and peace as it signals the arrival of a new form of divinity — Our Lord and Saviour finally is coming, in the form 0 and 1 bits.

We combined floating strings and minimal drones for a deep atmospheric experience, maybe more minimalist than usual. The workflow is usually that Matyas sends me some analog stems. Exuvia is an immersive installation by Eszter Metzing and Szandra Zságer-Mészáros, an experiment in sensory and intermedial bodily experience. The title refers to the shed skin, the outer layer exiting the body — at once signifying something abandoned and something new in the process of taking shape. The installation was presented at the 2025 Inota Festival.
