Pondering If (with An American Standard)

I started playing drums in 2001 right before entering high school. While in high school, I performed with the jazz band, jazz combos, marching band, show choir, and several local bands. I took lessons from Dan Thress, editor of several drum/percussion publications, for a year before going off to college. I graduated with the Semper Fidelis Award for Musical Excellence as well as a Music Talent Award for Bowling Green State University. When I attended BGSU, I performed with many academic and non-academic ensembles. Some of these ensembles include BGSU Jazz Lab Bands, BGSU Marching Band, BGSU Jazz Combos, BGSU Percussion Ensembles, BGSU Athletic Band, and BGSU Wind Symphony. I also performed in several musical productions for the school as well as the Bowling Green Community Theater. With the Jazz Lab Bands, I worked with several guest artists including Scott Burns, Tito Carillo, and Bill Carrothers. Throughout my college career, I played several shows with local bands of several genres. I currently work on cruise ships on Holland America Line with the onboard party band. We play Top 40 hits through the decades as well as production shows and several guest entertainers. Some of the guest entertainers I’ve worked with include Davie Howes, Kenny James, Judy Carmichael, Joel Mason, Dale Kristien, and Eliot Finkel. In October 2014, I made the move to Los Angeles to further my music career.
