Coined as a modern times Griot, a group originally from West Africa that had the mission to preserve and transmit the history, knowledge, poems and music of their people.

Buruntuma is already a well-established name in the the Portuguese Afro house scene that is been making waves across Europe.Tradicional music from his native Guinea-Bissau is one of his central elements, alongside with the flavored ones from the suburbs of Lisbon.

Renowned clubs as Gretchen (Berlin), Djoon (Paris), Bootshaus (Cologne), Bird (Rotterdam),, Lick (Vilamoura) and festivals as Atlantic Music Expo (Santiago), Fusion (Larz), Africa Nouveau (Nairobi) or Womex (LasPalmas) had been part of his musical journey.

Buruntuma has been showcasing not only his unique sound and skills, but also aims to spread a positive and uplifting image of his rich and diverse roots.

Numa altura em que o Racismo, e a luta pela igualdade de cor está cada vez mais ativa, não poderia deixar passar esta situação em branco, sendo eu um filho de áfrica, preto, negro, como nos quiserem intitular.

Só pedimos que nos dêem valor, nós somos pretos mas temos dons, dons esses que ficam muitas vezes escondidos por sermos oprimidos. Sejamos a favor da raça humana e não a favor da cor de pele.

E para quem acha que isto é uma manifestação que vem de agora, só peço que leiam a história, e descubram porque é que foi criada a Policia. Entendam que não é nada contra a entidade em si, mas só pelo simples facto de terem sido criados com o propósito de controlar os escravos.. Isso é algo forte.

Aqui deixo o meu contributo nesta luta contra a igualdade de cor, não só de cor, mas de género também.
