Mid November will see Mexico’s Akbal Music deliver ‘Novoum’ courtesy of Patlac, backed with remixes from Cosmic Cowboys and Timelapse.

Patrick Müller better known as Patlac is a German producer that’s been at the forefront of the underground house scene Northern Germany’s Hamburg for quite some time, initially coming to light alongside the likes of Nick Curly, Matthias Meyer and the Liebe Detail imprint. Here we see him return to Mexico’s Akbal Music, a label home to material from the likes of Kiki, Sasse, Fabio Gianelli and Balcazar & Sordo.

Patlac’s original mix of ‘Novoum’ a slow burning, floaty cut fuelled by airy atmospherics and hooky square wave bass hits alongside tension building strings and Müller’s signature ensnaring percussiveled style.

Following is a remix from Galaktika’s Cosmic Cowboys who stick a darker edge on things with their take, bringing robust rhythms to the forefront alongside bulbous sub hits, while allowing the eerie atmospherics to snake around them. Lastly to close the package Timelapse turn in their interpretation of ‘Novoum’ and the Connaissuer duo deliver a warmly entrancing version with soft chord pads, crunchy percussion and gradually blossoming electronica synth hooks.

Patlac’s ‘Novoum’ EP is out on Akbal Music 23rd November.

As the dust only just begins to settle after the sensational release of Matthias Meyer's Watergate 20 installment, it's time to unleash the mixes' exclusive cuts. 

Kicking things off, Meyer delivers an enchanting ride with 'LA Strings', where whimsical pads rise and sweep as a hypnotizing bass line whirls endlessly across a landscape of earthy percussion. While still maintaining his trademark sound but taking a slightly deeper path, Meyer conjures up the super dreamy 'Uluwatu'. Settled firmly in rich organic percussion and lush melodies, 'Uluwatu' jaunts effortlessly through overgrown rain forests and lavish emotions. 

Next up is Gorje Hewek and Izhevski's 'Turgoyakk' and it's an absolute gem. Opulent pads, sensuous strings and powerful keys culminate in a profoundly vivid tour into truly emotional territory. Finally, YokoO & Retza deliver an impressive number with the dazzling 'Satori' which is laced with ornate keys and soft siren calls rounding up the release with timeless style. All tracks will be released together on one 12" vinyl and two separate EPs digitally.

Now the melodic enriched percussive driven tune by Santiago Garcia has its official release on Berlin based label Exit Strategy. Starting off with a delicate bassline 'Serenata' rapidly introduces the key-synths and adds slight percussions to set the tone of the track. Santiago Garcia then introduces its listeners to an additional synth-melody with a hypnotically sounding virtue that prepares the track's climax before fading away in the gentleness of synergy the synths and bassline create.
