Happy 4/20 you cool cats and kittens! I went to a few shows this weekend and got inspired to venture out of techcore a bit and REALLY vibed with the songs in this set. Is it all over the place? a bit. But the vibes... Just listen and feel the music, and let the emotions wash over you and just FEEL it.

Whispers to Eden is my first release, done as a Collaboration with Dagyr in The Hangar Bay. I'll be debuting this song live at The Redacted Halloween Rave on 10/32/25.

This is the evolution of my Hardcore WIP.

The DNB portion of the song is largely Dagyr's work- I've always said that hardcore and dnb are cousins, and I like mixing them when possible!

I have two more songs in the works- one is a bootleg of a friend's song I liked, and the song I've got lyrics for, but need to actually start working on. I'm looking forward to sharing it with you!

Wanted some Dariacore/Hyperflip stuff in my Halloween set but it was hard to mix properly and I wanted to do it in true daria fashion, so I ripped some clips, threw em together, and now 1/3 of my shiny halloween set is now a high effort ytp in audio form.

That Time ZAQU inhaled too much tamiya and became a Dariacore DJ

Finally, in all it's glory- THE REDACTED HALLOWEEN RAVE SET!

This was an interesting set for me- I wanted to push myself outside my traditional 175 bpm range and typical genre-set. This time, I opened with Hitech, moved into hardcore, then techcore, dariacore, and debuted my first single between two brand new releases from Megarex!

The ending drastically changed from the original for two reasons- The original was 1hr long, and 30 mins of that set were a free mix, me choosing songs on the fly and mixing as is- not quite what I like to give in a performance. So, I decided to challenge myself! Two days before the rave, I created my first Hyperflip compilation, and then the day before the rave, (the day I recorded this, actually) I made a completely different edit of said flip to be harder, faster, and funnier.

Sorry xaev, I swapped out your last track for Lapix. I think you'd be cool with that.

A huge thank you to Buggy and the rest of the Asheville scene for having me play for you guys, I love the city and community they've grown over the years, and I hope to be back soon!

Thank you to NetSphere.Rave and Echopop.Stars for having me in ATL! This has been the experience and set of a lifetime, and I'd personally consider it one of my best sets behind my JSRF set, which is probably the most polished set I've personally put out to date. 

Thank you to Seven, Pseudosodomy, and Tethra64 for being some amazing DJs, and thank YOU, the listener, for your support! I can't wait to see you all in Asheville on January 24th for my next show!

Straight out of a 6 hour drive and 1 hour virtual meeting, Zaku rushed up the stairs to his home for the weekend. Greeting him, Psuedo welcomed Zaku to her abode, and immediately, without hesitation or even setting his bags down, Zaku asks-

Never in my life have I had immediate chemistry with someone else behind decks aside from my b2bs with [SeriousLove], let along with a DJ I had never truly met or seen mix or play before. I exported a few extra albums onto my flash drive, linked up, and we proceeded to mix B2B for 1.75 hrs, though we forgot to start recording until a few songs in.

Thanks again for sending me the recording Psuedo, this has been an absolute pleasure to listen back to.

TO YOU, the listener- Can you tell when and who is behind the decks? I can personally hear who's mixing and behind the decks, but there's a few moments of overlap- I personally flubbed one song selection thinking it was doubled, but otherwise, the energy and intensity stayed high the entire time.

What a crazy weekend! I look forward to spinning for NetSphere again in the future!

Also known as ZakuNuva, ZAQU was first exposed to EDM via 2000's techno and electronica. In later years, exposure to Drum and Bass in 2012 led to his love of fast and high paced music, eventually leading him to a love of Hardcore and it's adjacent genres. One of these genres, Future Core, was his gateway to the fast paced world of Japanese Hardcore, and eventually Techcore. Inspired by artists such as Psyqui, Lapix, and Srav3r. His current inspirations and genre favorites are artists such as DJ Raisei, Mylta, DJ Shimamura, Wooden, Xaev, and Yukiyanagi.
