Luxuriating at a lower bpm, ‘Lots Of Soulful Vocals’ dives into the world of disco with Preston himself contributing funky basslines and moments of guitar playing too. Pulling the poolside anthem together is some inspired use of sampling, with a male, then a female, voice telling of the power of House. “Well, House music is about fun, it’s about love, it’s about unity, togetherness” the sample begins.

The DJ/surfer has raced to the forefront of house fans’ minds since the release of the massive ‘Love You Better’ in April 2021. That single is closing in on 1m streams on Spotify alone and has been played on BBC Radio 1 as well as Australia’s foremost radio station Triple J. Alex has also been receiving excellent club feedback, with several DJ’s including Jax Jones, Mark Knight, Mistajam and Arielle Free spinning - and backing - him.

"I’ve been listening to a lot of old Soul records lately and I wanted to incorporate some of those vibes into a classic house groove. I felt that the melodic parts of the track should have a real eclectic feel and then be complimented by a chunky contemporary house groove!"
