Representing the new blood from Cuba, Havana Negra are highly talented jazz musicians (most band members being winners of the “JoJazz Award” for the country’s most talented Young Jazz musician) who, with singers from a Rumba and Son background, play the Cuban music of today. Their music has a cinematic sound, at times traditional, at others, violent.

Record Label from Spain. The label specializes in Latin Music recorded in Cuba. Label Founder is Alex Gonzalez a Record Collector of Latin Music based in New York. Producer is Michael Delanian based on London and known from the days of Gallon Drunk. Head Sound Engineer is Jose Luis Crespo from Spain who works with the London Philharmonic and Pedro Almodovar. Photographer is recognized Cuban Documentalist Roberto Chile. All original recordings were done at Areito Studio 101 in Centro Havana. Name of the label comes from the Street where the project started.
